Bring your appetite, your whip, and your best fedora because we’re going to the Disney parks to try some NEW Indiana Jones-inspired treats! Who’s ready for a dessert-filled adventure? That’s the BEST kind of adventure, right?
Recently, Disney shared a whole LIST of new snacks coming to both Disney World AND Disneyland Resort. Now, we can’t wait a moment longer — let’s go try some treats!
First up, we headed to Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. This little patisserie is filled with sweets, but today we’re here for the new Indiana Jones Petit Cake. Let’s be honest here; this cake was MADE for photos. The cake features Indiana Jones’s signature hat and whip — Amorette’s basically transformed Indiana Jones into a CAKE!
This cake is an inspiration of Moroccan flavors with Vanilla Chiffon, Dates, Candied Almonds, Almond Mousse, and Spiced Simple Syrup. And y’all…this just might make a “Best of” list because this cake is AMAZING. The spiced simple syrup combined with the almond mousse gives it a sweet, but almost cinnamon-like flavor.
The mix of all the layers in this baby with the dates and candied almonds almost gives us banana nut bread vibes, too. We honestly can’t say anything negative about it, although we did kinda wish it also had some bananas in it. But Amorette’s totally nailed this treat with its flavors AND look.
Over on the west coast, we headed to Bengal Barbecue at Disneyland Park to try The Forbidden Turnover. Ooh! Sounds ominous but intriguing! The turnover is filled with Mango, Pineapple, and Passion fruit.
Again, Disney NAILED it with this treat. The outside of the turnover had the PERFECT flakey texture and tasted like a sweet bread. The inside filling had a jelly-like texture with a refreshing tropical fruit flavor. This is another snack we can’t find a big fault with!
We’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney snacks, so be sure to stay tuned for more foodie news and snack reviews!

Hello, love the cake but quick question, does it have chocolate as part of its ingredients? I’m intolerant of chocolat which is why I’m asking. I never go to Amorette as it’s always mostly chocolat but this cake is tempting me to walk on the dark side 🤪

Hi Carole! The fondant on the outside of the cake may have had a little chocolate in it, but it would be easy to remove from the cake to eat the cake itself.
