It’s been over a year since Disneyland’s version of Fantasmic! closed after the Maleficent dragon erupted in fire. Although Disneyland added some temporary nighttime entertainment to take its place, we’ve been counting down the days until Fantasmic! reopens.

Well, eventually we got the news that Fantasmic! would open again on May 24th, which is coming up soon. Ahead of that, though, Disney just revealed some new details about the updated nighttime show.

Not only is Fantasmic! returning to Disneyland’s Rivers of America, but it will have “refreshed moments” during its live performances and special effects. Some of your favorite Disney movies are still represented, though, including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Tangled.

This new version of Fantasmic! will feature a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, which will feature updated special effects. Plus you’ll also still get to enjoy that awesome fight between Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

In Disneyland, Fantasmic! can be seen from the banks of the Rivers of America with standby viewing, but you can only start grabbing your spot no earlier than two hours before showtime. However, dining packages will also be returning, which means you’ll have a meal at a designated restaurant and then get access to a special viewing area for Fantasmic! Disney promised that it would reveal more information about the Fantasmic! dining packages soon.
