REVIEW: Why Don't More People Know About This Down-to-Earth Disneyland Breakfast Spot?

When you’re heading to Disneyland, you may struggle to find something to eat for breakfast — trust me, I’ve been there!

However, there are great breakfast spots in Disneyland that are tucked away. We promise, they are there, but they do take some digging to find. For example, this Fantasyland spot is away from the main path, but it’s super peaceful, and we recommend that you don’t pass it up on your next trip!

Over in Fantasyland, you’ll find Maurice’s Treats off the beaten path. This is a quick service cart, so there’s no official seating for it, but you’re right near the Royal Theatre, where there are currently no shows, so there’s plenty of seating to eat peacefully.

If it’s raining or the sun is beating down, no worries, because the entirety of the Royal Theatre is covered!

We grabbed the semi-new Breakfast Cheesy Pretzel for $13.49, but it’s not really a pretzel — it’s a sandwich that’s on pretzel bread. This is a sizable sandwich — we initially balked at the price, but this is VERY shareable. It has cheese, scrambled eggs, and two sausage links on the top, and when we saw that they were all sitting in a heated box, we expected that would translate to hard bread and a dried-out sandwich.

Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all! The bread is chewy and flavorful, the cheese adds a tanginess, the eggs are well seasoned, and the sausage links here are good and they have a nice snap. However, if you’re not a fan of sausage, we would stay away from this — it has a good amount of sandwich filling, but if you’re going to remove the sausage, you will have vastly overpaid for it.

To drink, we grabbed the Mocha Nitro Cold Brew for $7.29. This is Joffrey’s coffee and therefore feels familiar to us, because we’re used to Joffrey’s in Disney World!

That said, this wasn’t our favorite. The syrup on the cup is dark chocolate, and there’s just too much of it. We know what you’re saying — how is there ever too much chocolate? But the dark chocolate syrup made this too bitter, and now we really felt like we needed to add a hefty amount of sweetener to even it out.
