Well, Christmas hasn’t been waiting around to make an appearance in Disneyland. Granted, we’re used to seeing Sleeping Beauty Castle with snow on it this time of the year (a.k.a. October), but an entire LAND in Disneyland is now decorated for the holidays. Halloween WHAT? It’s CHRISTMASTIME.
Take a good look at this photo. Take it in. Ahh…the beauty of a Disney theme park at night, right? There’s something extra special about an evening at Disneyland Resort. In fact, one of our favorite parts of spending the night at Disneyland is catching the fireworks show. It’s just SO GOOD.

Clearly, the DFB team is a big fan of fireworks. The combination of music, pyrotechnics, and projections really creates something magical. And now, Disney has started using drone technology to further enhance its nighttime spectaculars. Thanks to @socaloutdoorexplorer and @whatsupscv on Instagram, we may have an update on a new drone project in Disneyland.
Soarin’ is getting a major makeover in Disneyland and Disney World!

In Summer 2026, Soarin’ in Disney California Adventure and EPCOT is getting a brand new “airborne adventure!” The new version of the ride will take you across the United States, “highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes.”

Disney announced that D23 members are invited to a special taping of The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration, held at the Disneyland Resort! If you’re unfamiliar with this annual event, let’s just say it’s a star-studded spectacular with a LOT of holiday cheer.

You’ve packed your bags, hopped on a flight, made your way into your hotel room, triple-checked that your park tickets are ready to go, and then walked down Main Street, U.S.A., only to find out that your favorite ride is closed for refurbishment. While we can’t stop things at Disneyland from closing down, we can give you advanced notice so that you’re totally prepared long before you even start packing.
If you’re a Disneyland fan, you’re probably wanting to get your hands on a Magic Key, which is Disneyland’s version of an Annual Pass.

However, getting a Magic Key is easier said than done because sales of Magic Keys are limited, and for now, sales have been on hold for a little while. However, Magic Key sales do open again from time to time, and if you want to nab one, make sure November 4th is marked on your calendar because Magic Key sales will resume then.
We love visiting Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar on any normal day at the Disneyland Hotel, but when they’ve got a special event going on? Count us IN!

Trader Sam’s is an incredible place to go for some truly unique drinks and an atmosphere like no other. While the food doesn’t always land super high on our list, the drinks here are almost always top-notch, which is why we’re EXTRA thrilled that their Mixology Series is coming back for a limited time!
