Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming up, and there are lots of surprises in store!
We’ve heard all about transformations coming to the parks’ icons, special costumes for Mickey and Minnie, and even new name tags for Cast Members! But now, in a collaboration between PhotoPass and Snapchat, there’s a way for guests to get in on the fun.
UPDATE: The following day, May 21st, Rise of the Resistance was up and running as usual.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the newest rides in Disney World, but it can also be one of the toughest to get on.
To get on Rise of the Resistance, you’ll need to join a boarding group which can be difficult enough on its own. But, aside from getting a Boarding Group, technical issues and other problems can arise (just as they do with any other Disney ride) that cause Rise of the Resistance to close temporarily. And it looks like today is one of those days, as Rise of the Resistance is temporarily closed in Disney World.
Theme parks have made some BIG changes recently when it comes to altered health and safety regulations. And, if you’re left with questions, you aren’t alone!
Since the end of April, Americans over the age of 16 have had access to the COVID-19 vaccine. And, now this accessibility is being extended to individuals ages 12 to 15 years old. Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that those who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks indoors or outdoors, except in certain situations. After that updated guidance from the CDC was issued, theme parks made numerous changes to their own policies. Today, we’re giving you all the details of what you need to know about how the face mask rules have changed in Disney World, Universal Orlando, and beyond!
The Disney Dining Plan has remained suspended since the parks reopened last summer.
While Disney has not indicated when it could return, we have seen that it is not available (for now, at least) to add to vacation packages in 2021 and 2022. However, today Disney announced a 2022 50th anniversary vacation package for U.K. residents — which includes a “Disney Dining Credit.” So…what does this mean for the Disney Dining Plan? Well, here’s what we know.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been seeing the return of the Disney College Program!
The Disney College Program in Disney World and Disneyland was suspended when the parks closed in March 2020 — but a few weeks ago, Disney announced that it was inviting back Spring 2020 participants who had been sent home. And now, the program has exciting news for other students!
Disney World’s 50th anniversary is THIS YEAR! We’re getting so close!

Cinderella Castle
Disney has lots of plans in store, but to get prepared, lots of shops, rides, and more are getting a refurb so that they look their best for the special occasion. The Main Street Confectionery is currently undergoing a HUGE refurb, and the PeopleMover finally (!!!) reopened after a super long refurb, but now a favorite Magic Kingdom coaster has been added to the refurb calendar.
There are BIG things happening in the Disney Parks all over the world!

Disneyland Paris just announced a reopening date, Disney World changed its outdoor mask policy, and Disneyland recently reopened in California. But now, we’ve got some pretty exciting news from Hong Kong Disneyland!
A LOT has changed in Disney World lately!

Millennium Falcon
On Friday, Disney announced that face masks would no longer be required in outdoor areas (with a few exceptions). We’ve seen plexiglass start to disappear on certain attractions, and some shows have reduced physical distancing, but now one of the most popular rides in all of Disney World is seeing some changes!
Have you been keeping up with our Roulé aux Fromage saga? Well, let’s catch you up!
A few days ago we found that one of our favorite bacon and cheese roll (aka the Roulé aux Fromage) had returned to Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. And, while we were excited to reunite with the cheesy, bacon-y goodness, there was one thing lacking — the bacon. But, the Cast Members in the France Pavilion were watching and they RESPONDED with MORE bacon! So, we had to go over and check it out!
