Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster CLOSING DATE Announced for Hollywood Studios

HUGE news out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We now know when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closing for its refurbishment.

Disney has announced that the current version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will close on March 2nd, 2026, to make way for the new Muppets overlay! That means that your last day to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith is March 1st, 2026.

NEWS: Disney Files New Permits for Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios

We can’t say we weren’t disappointed when Disney revealed that Muppets Courtyard would be going away forever at Hollywood Studios.

Bluey is finally coming to Disney World — but we can’t help but feel a little worried about this new experience.

We Know Where Every EPCOT Fan Will Be on January 16th

We might be neck-deep in the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, but the holidays will be over before we know it, and we’ll be counting down the days to the EPCOT Festival of the Arts (which is my favorite EPCOT festival).

The 2026 EPCOT Festival of the Arts starts on January 16th and runs through February 23rd, and will bring all kinds of visual arts, performing arts, and yes, culinary arts around EPCOT with artist booths, the Disney on Broadway concert series, and outdoor food kitchens. However, an experience that’s returning this year will change a little bit…the Visual Art in Performance series will be moving to Communicore Hall.

2 New Things EPCOT World Showcase Desperately Needs

EPCOT’s World Showcase is arguably the most beloved area in Disney World, as millions of guests each year visit the recreations of countries from around the world, each of which offers authentic architecture, design, souvenirs, food, and drinks from the country represented. The only issue? It’s barely changed in the last 4 decades.

I’ve been visiting EPCOT for over 30 years, and the World Showcase hasn’t added a single new country during that time. In fact, a new country hasn’t been added to the World Showcase since Norway in 1988. While that hasn’t necessarily hurt World Showcase’s popularity, there’s no denying the area could use some newness.

CONFIRMED: A Popular Disneyland Ride Will Close in January

It’s not always fun to get to Disneyland only to discover your favorite ride is closed for refurbishment. However, the good news is that we usually have a little advance notice when that happens. It isn’t often enough of a notice to reschedule our trips, but at least it prepares us for the disappointment, right?

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland

The early months of the year are usually PRIME time for ride refurbishments in Disneyland. So if you’re visiting then, you’ll want to be aware of which rides are closed. If you’re planning on visiting the park during that time, particularly Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll want to know about this ride closure: Rise of the Resistance will be closed as of January 20th.
