There’s so much happening in Disney World this year, and one announcement we feel gets pushed under the rug so much is that we’re getting a NEW nighttime parade!
We’ve loved all the concept art and what we’ve heard about this new spectacular, Disney Starlight, so far, and now there’s MORE news to share! Disney has just released a look at another one of the new floats coming to the parade, and it’s themed after the beloved movie Coco!
I love Disney villains. They are iconic, classy, wicked, and absolutely delightful. Even now, as I’m writing this, I’m wearing a Disney Villains t-shirt.
So you can imagine how thrilled I was to learn that a Villains-themed show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, I’m one of those Disney fans that has been chasing the rumors of a Villains theme park for YEARS in Disney World, and you should have heard me screaming when Disney announced it was adding a Villains land to Magic Kingdom. Well, there’s something else I need to see come to Magic Kingdom, and it ties into that new land…a Villains-themed character dining experience.
This week marked the start of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, so we’ve been a little obsessed with checking out everything you can see and do at the festival, as well as EVERYTHING you can eat.
We’ve even told you about the BEST food and drinks at the festival so you can try them out for yourself. However, we’ve also been keeping an eye on those pesky Disney World restaurant menus that are always changing, and yes, we’ve got some changes to share with you this week. So on with it!
Okay, let’s face it. When compared to Disney World’s other theme parks, the food at Magic Kingdom is…well…it’s just okay.
Now, don’t get us wrong, Skipper Canteen is one of our favorite Disney World restaurants, but beyond that, unless we want a Cheshire Cat Tail or one of those famous cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s tavern, finding a good meal in Magic Kingdom, especially at a quick service restaurant is difficult. However, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe changed their menu last year, and things were starting to look up. Well, we just revisited Pecos Bill and we think that Magic Kingdom might FINALLY have a decent — if not really good — quick service restaurant now!
Some BIG things are coming to Magic Kingdom. Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion. A new villains land is going behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is currently getting a long refurbishment and potential upgrade. AND a Pirates of the Caribbean tavern is coming to Adventureland.
Yes, you will soon be able to lounge in a space dedicated to making you feel like you’re a pirate that’s themed around this classic Disney attraction. Now, this new tavern will be replacing what was once the Pirates League, and now, the tavern is one step closer to opening: a new permit has been filed by Disney to replace the Pirates League sign with the new tavern sign!
