Hey! We’re back with another DFB Video. Today we’re talking about what HAS to happen for Disney World to reopen.
There’s a whole lot of uncertainty in the world right now, and that extends to the Disney parks.
If you’ve ever visited Disney World with your family in tow, whether you know it by now or not, you possess within you a unique skill set.
Let’s face it, as much fun as it can be to go to Disney World, it’s also A LOT to handle. You’re on your feet all day in the unforgiving Florida climate with hungry kiddos and heavy crowds. If you’re like us, you’ve probably developed some coping skills that you could really use to win this war right about now!
It seems like with each passing day our hearts are longing to reach out to some of our favorite Disney attractions that we miss the most! How we yearn to FEEL the sweet CARESS of the Peoplemover’s blue vinyl upholstery against our skin AGAIN!
And somehow the fine line that usually divides our more logical thinking and what we would normally recognize as an irrational use of our time and energy right now has become BLURRED!
In fact, our minds have become so muddled with passionate feelings to see how our favorite attractions are holding up throughout all of this that we’ve started to believe maybe, just MAYBE, the rides are MISSING US, TOO?!?
We sure are missing Disney World right about now, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t still keep an eye on some of the upcoming projects that we’re excited about!
Despite the current closures of the Disney parks and the temporary halt on construction, Walt Disney Imagineering and other Resort development teams are still hard at work crafting the future of the parks. That means that we can still spot some construction permits every once in a while for projects that are starting soon.
To celebrate World Health Day, we’ve seen Disney Parks around the world showing their gratitude to medical professionals serving their communities during the latest events.
From flower art to flip-flop “thank yous,” Disney properties are sending love to all those serving on the front lines — but they didn’t stop there!
Several of our favorite Disney talents have been sharing incredible music, stories, artistic tutorials, and more via live streams over the past few weeks, delivering Disney magic right into our homes. Here at the DFB, some of our favorite live streams include those which have been presented by Disney mixologists and chefs for some at-home culinary fun. And one that we are especially excited to include in the mix is…
… the weekly virtual cooking class by Chef Art Smith who, of course, heads up Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs! [Read more…]
Despite the parks being closed, there are a ton of NEW and exciting things in the works as well as very recent additions to the parks that we can’t wait to check out!
From new rides and attractions to the latest and greatest in Disney World dining, there will be plenty to see and do when we get to return to the parks. Here are 13 new things that we can’t wait to do when Disney World reopens.
Despite the fact that Disney World is still closed until further notice, they’re still makin’ changes to the menus on their website!
Somewhere out there, work is continuing with Disney World’s food and beverage team! Let’s check out some of the biggest changes coming our way…as soon as we can get back into those restaurants.
The parks may be closed “until further notice,” but we are already thinking of Disney days ahead.
Once we step into the A.C. (after closure) era of Disney Parks, we suspect many things will likely be different to accommodate health and safety concerns. We certainly don’t want to miss out on any of our favorite attractions; but we expect some elements of attractions may have to change, possibly including how we queue up for those rides.
And we think there’s a pretty solid option out there for how we can ride all our favorite rides AND still keep a healthy, safe distance.
Food pretty much occupies our every waking moment right now, so, you know, not much has changed… But now that our second official DFB tournament has started and round one is finally over, we can’t believe how things WENT DOWN!
Typically these March Madness-style dealies have wrapped up by now, but we’ve decided to extend the fun all the way into April — and even longer if we have to! If you haven’t snagged your printable brackets yet, there’s still plenty of time to get in on the foodie fisticuffs. This time around we’re putting a few of our favorite Disney World counter service restaurants against each other to see who comes out on top! Click here to get your PRINT ON!
