The BIG GAME is almost here. We’re of course talking about Super Bowl Sunday!! There’s only one little problem, though: you’re in Walt Disney World. Now, normally, that would be all kinds of awesome. But when it’s Super Bowl Sunday, we’re betting that there will be lots of you looking to find a TV in time to catch the game.
But where? Lucky for you, we’re huge football fans too! So we’ve done our research to figure out where the best places to catch the Super Bowl — or any big game, really — are throughout Walt Disney World. Happy New Year, Friends!
Editor’s Note: This post has been updated with links to current reviews of the most anticipated 2017 Dining Experiences that have opened so far! Look for UPDATES and links throughout the post.
I hope that your 2017 is off to an excellent start and that you’re planning your next trip to Disney Parks for sometime this year!
As has been the case for the last few years, Disney has promised some big doin’s coming our way during the calendar year.
And oh, well, sure. The entire universe is poised on the edge of its collective seat, awaiting some indication of when Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land will spring to life. BUT — even though we really don’t expect to hear of openings on those fronts in 2017, there’s still PLENTY to look forward to!
Review: Chip N’ Dale’s Harvest Feast Breakfast at Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot
We are headed into The Land Pavilion in Walt Disney World’s Epcot today for one of our favorite character meals at Garden Grill Restaurant!
This spot may feel a little dated in a way…but we prefer to think of it as retro. 😉 Disney’s (Orlando’s!!) only rotating restaurant is still tops for the coolness factor of the, you know, rotation. I can remember going to this restaurant when I was a little kid — it was fancy-pants back then (with sculpted Mickey butter!), but the nostalgia factor is high here for Epcot babies. Add in some pretty delicious food, and you’re doing even better. AND then — characters! Even Mickey! So it’s probably sort of easy to see why we like it.
Recently, our Dining in Disneyland expert and friend of DFB Heather Sievers travelled to Walt Disney World for a visit. Among their many culinary adventures, her family opted to visit Garden Grill Restaurant for breakfast one morning.
Let’s tag along and see how it went!
Atmosphere
is located within The Land Pavilion in Epcot’s Future World West.
This building is a serious multitasker. You’ll find three different attractions housed here: Soarin, Living with the Land, and The Circle of Life. All have different entrances, which are accessible as you travel down ramps circling either side of the round building’s perimeter. [Read more…]

News and Review: Milk Chocolate Cake Batter Truffles Mood Chocolates!
Good news, chocolate lovers! Mood Chocolate boxes have made a triumphant return to Disney World (you can read about their previous appearance here)! And they feature fun new packaging and exciting new flavors.
Believe it or not, there are even more options than those pictured above, but we predict the Star Wars versions will be a big hit! On this trip, we gave the Milk Chocolate Cake Batter Truffles a try.
Such cheerful packaging with that Cutie Pie Minnie! To get a sneak peek of what’s in the box, check out the images on the side of the box. [Read more…]

Hey There Hi There! We have another must-see DFB Video to share with you today. And this time, we’re coming to you from Tambu Lounge in Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Village Resort!
We have lots of favorites at this spot. But tops on our list is ‘Ohana Bread Pudding!
Wait! What? ‘Ohana Bread Pudding is available at Tambu Lounge? (And why isn’t it called Tambu Lounge Bread Pudding?)
Review: Mac-and-Cheese Hot Dog Returns to Casey’s Corner for a Limited Time
: home of baseball memorabilia, intermittent ragtime jazz performances, and, of course, our go-to Disney hot dogs.
It’s a familiar stop for most visitors to the Magic Kingdom. For some, it is a must-stop, the craving for salty dog and cushiony bun too strong to resist (and who needs to resist while on vacation?).
We first told you about Casey’s new plans for a rotating menu of featured dogs a few weeks ago. Now, we’re back with a review of this month’s specialty: the Mac and Cheese Hot Dog.
This specialty doggy can be found in numerous places around Disney World from time to time. We’ll never forget when we first spotted it, toting Truffle Oil, way back in 2012 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since then, we’ve also found it at Animal Kingdom’s Restaurantosaurus and Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom; and a Mac and Cheese Burger was spotted at Epcot’s Electric Umbrella.
And we have to say that in so many ways, this particular one is a recipe for addiction: Casey’s famous hot dog smothered in mac and cheese and sprinkled with a healthy dose of bacon? That’s gotta be the epitome, right?
New DFB Video: The Kitchen Sink(s) at Disney’s Beaches and Cream
Hey! We’re coming to you from the DFB YouTube Channel today with a visit to one of the Happiest of Happiest Places on Earth — Beaches and Cream!
And if you’re hungry, and you love ice cream, then you know that there’s one thing you’ve gotta try on your Disney Bucket List: the Kitchen Sink Sundae!
There are three different varieties to choose from if a Kitchen Sink Sundae is your objective. The Classic offers endless variety of toppings and ice cream flavors, while the Neapolitan version offers all of the toppings, but restricts the ice cream flavors to Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry.
Best of the Fest: What to Eat at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts!
We’ve just wrapped up our first visit to the inaugural Festival of the Arts in Epcot! And we can promise you one thing — It will NOT be our last.
This celebration of the Arts — with a focus on the disciplines of Culinary, Visual, and Performing Arts — will take place Fridays through Mondays from now until February 20th.
This brand new festival offers guests opportunities to SEE works of art on display at exhibits and galleries featuring works by Disney artists, HEAR live music performed by local high schools and universities as well as Broadway talent, and TASTE dishes and drinks at the Festival’s Food Studios!
We spent opening day at the Festival and we were bowled over by the experience. While DFB was there primarily to explore the food, we also enjoyed the many other examples of artistic talent, ranging from spontaneous displays of sidewalk chalk art, to an incredible musical performance by Disney on Broadway actors and singers Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland.
But what about the food? So glad you asked! We spent the day sampling our way through the festival’s food offerings at Food Studios as well as other spots around World Showcase. [Read more…]
