We’re about to give you the EXPEDITED version of what you need to know about Magic Kingdom BEFORE you go.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially opening in Disney World this SUMMER!
While we don’t have an official date just yet, we have been keeping up with all the latest updates on the ride’s progress and we’re getting pretty darn excited about it. And, progress just took a major leap forward over on the bayou — let’s check it out!
HUGE changes are happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Disney is in the process of creating a WHOLE new set of Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas, and we’ve been following the construction of the project since it began. The new Island Tower (that’s the name of the expansion) is set to open later this year, in December 2024. Let’s dive into what will be included with this huge expansion.
Well, we’ve had a big week at Disney World!
We chowed down on our share of Valentine’s Day treats, while we started perusing the menus for the food booths at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. We also recently revisited ABC Commissary, which has really upped its game over the past few years. Meanwhile, Disney World restaurant menus changed, so we better fill you in on all the updates.
Listen, Disney World can be both the best and absolute worst.
The food, rides, entertainment, and level of immersion are just second to none, but that doesn’t mean Disney’s knocking it out of the park with everything they do. We figured it was time to address some of the unhinged things we’re begging Disney to stop doing in 2024.
Disney World has lots of different construction projects happening right now.
Country Bear Jamboree and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are under construction in Magic Kingdom, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is under refurbishment (again) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and multiple different Disney World hotels have projects underway. But there’s one hotel project that we’re starting to get REALLY worried about.
We’ve warned you about that finicky Florida weather.
It’s especially chaotic this time of the year. We’ve seen super cold days, as well as hot days. We’ve also seen a lot of rainy days (if it doesn’t rain at least ONCE on your Disney World trip, are you really in Orlando, Florida?). Although rainy days can put a bit of a dampener (see what we did there?) on your day in the parks, it could also give you the best park day ever. Why? Because rainy days tend to keep crowds away.
We’ve been impatiently watching construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom for what feels like forever.
Okay, it’s only technically been about a year, but we’ve enjoyed watching progress on the new ride, like seeing the water tower going up and seeing all the new additions being added regularly. Well, on February 18th, we saw something HUGE happening on the ride, and we have to share it with you: WATER is flowing through Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. WATER, PEOPLE!!!
Let us set the scene. It’s a bright, sunny morning. You’re standing in line for the bus to Magic Kingdom at your Disney World hotel. It’s time to rope-drop the park! Fiiiiinally, the bus arrives, but you’re pretty far back in line. Uh-oh.

Disney World
Well, it looks like it’s going to be standing-room-only on the bus. Time to grab a handrail and head to the Magic Kingdom. Now, for a lot of people, this is probably no big deal. But for some of us, standing on a jam-packed Disney World bus is a literal nightmare. Here’s why.
You know those snacks that you just can’t be trusted to keep in your house? The ones that are so tempting, you find yourself lying awake at midnight wondering if you should go sneak a bite?
We feel that way about some Disney World snacks. Like, seriously — we would totally sneak into the parks for certain snacks. Not in an illegal way, of course, but we would totally sneak away from our fam for some peace, quiet, and alone time with said treats. Can’t relate? Well, you just haven’t met these snacks yet. Let’s go!
