What are you waiting for? Let’s take a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’re in Disney World pretty much every day and we tend to notice tons of tiny (or big!) changes all the time, so today we’re here with all the news from Animal Kingdom!
Walt Disney World is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary and there is SO much merchandise you can join in on the festivities with!
We’ve seen Minnie Ears, Spirit Jerseys, designer bags, throwback clothing, toys, and so. much. more. If you go to the parks often or find yourself scrolling through shopDisney every day, you might be getting tired of seeing the same 50th merchandise over and over. So, we’ve found some more 50th merch in an unsuspecting place that is totally unique!
In February, in celebration of Black History Month, Disney Parks introduced Celebrate Soulfully, a series of entertainment offerings (and food offerings!) for Black History Month. Through Celebrate Soulfully, we got things like Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure in EPCOT, and special viewings at the Disney World hotels of movies like Soul and Remember the Titans.
June is Black Music Month, and Disneyland Resort is celebrating with all sorts of new entertainment offerings, including a returning show!
If you’re looking to grab a bite to eat in Disney Springs, you’re definitely in the right spot.

Disney Springs
There’s Pan-Asian cuisine, fresh seafood, steak, poutine, Spanish cuisine, and so much more! And if you’re searching for a bar with good food, The Polite Pig in Disney Springs has a bar menu you probably didn’t know about!
Earlier this year, Disney Parks began something called Celebrate Soulfully which offered experiences that celebrate Black culture and heritage. Celebrate Soulfully was introduced as a way to celebrate Black History Month and it brought with it special food items, entertainment, and merchandise.
June is Black Music Month and Disneyland is celebrating big with the return of an exciting show, plus many more entertainment offerings!
We’ve seen a lot of price increases around Disney World, many of them related to the ongoing problems with the supply chain. There have been price increases on food and drink items, as well as some merchandise items, like Spirit Jerseys.
One price increase that’s been seen by the entire country is the cost of gas. Previously, gas prices were on the rise throughout the United States, with Florida’s gas prices peaking in June at $4.891. However, we’re starting to see that trend shift now. Prices have been fluctuating in Florida as well, so let’s take a look at why driving to Disney World is a gamble right now.
Are you getting ready for Halloween? No? “A little too early,” you say? Well, Disney would beg to differ!
Not too long ago, Disney celebrated Halfway to Halloween with some limited time treats, a Hocus Pocus virtual watch party and some pretty big announcements! In HUGE news, we learned that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will (finally!) be returning to Magic Kingdom this August, so dust off your costumes everybody because it’s time to PARTY! With the party returning soon, we wanted to know if our readers (that’s YOU) would be attending the year, so we went to our Facebook page (follow us there to participate in the future!) to get your thoughts. Here’s what you all had to say.
UPDATE: Since writing this post, R2 parts have been restocked at the Droid Depot, so guests once again have the choice between building an R2 or BB droid.
When you visit the Black Spire Outpost (AKA Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) in Disney World, there are all kinds of immersive experiences to enjoy. Star Wars fans can taste the iconic blue and green milk from the movies, pilot the Millennium Falcon, and even build their own droid!
But right now might actually not be the BEST time to build a droid in this immersive land. A recent update from the parks means you may want to hold off on this experience for a while! [Read more…]
Disney Springs in Disney World is home to more than 60 places to eat, many of which have world-class dining options available, so it takes a LOT for a restaurant to stand out here. But one location that definitely has a spot near the top of our must-try list is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Kitchen.
From Thigh High Chicken Biscuits to decadent Mac and Cheese to their signature Hummingbird Cake, we’ve very rarely been disappointed by any of the food at this spot. As if we needed a reason to visit Chef Art Smith’s again soon, the restaurant just announced 8 NEW menu items that are available now! [Read more…]
