A Disney World ride is unexpectedly closed, and Disney stated that there is currently no confirmed reopening date.

Typhoon Lagoon
The Disney World website was updated to reveal that they closed Mayday Falls at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Let’s take a look at what we know so far!
How are you celebrating National Popcorn Day? If you’re not sure, then you’re in the right place! Cinemark Theaters announced they’re bringing back the wildly popular BYOBucket promotion from last year, nationwide. Mark your calendars for January 18th and 19th!
Back in 2025, Cinemark had its first-ever Bring Your Own Bucket special, where guests could bring in any clean container up to the concession stand to get fresh, hot popcorn or kettle corn for only $5! The fan-favorite is returning for two days this January, and you don’t even need a movie ticket to get the deal.
After 30 years of dining at Disney World, I’ve learned that while dining reservations can absolutely enhance your trip, not every reservation is worth grabbing.

Full spread from our meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table
Here at DisneyFoodBlog, we know that Disney World has some incredible food. Over time, I’ve realized that the best dining plan is one that fits your priorities, your park strategy, and how you actually like to vacation. You are spending a lot of time and money on food at Disney World, so you want to enjoy it, and also you don’t regret it! Here are five types of dining reservations I’ve learned to pause before impulse booking.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin just hit a new phase of refurbishment.

©Disney
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has been closed for refurbishment for a while (and we’ve even had a sneak peek at the new ride vehicles and blasters coming to the attraction when it’s finished), but now there’s a visible sign of progress inside Magic Kingdom. Construction walls have gone up around the ride, giving us a better sense that the end of the work could be completed sooner than we expected!
Over the last couple of decades, MagicBands have become an integral part of a Disney World vacation. They serve as room keys, park tickets, the physical manifestation of Lightning Lane entry, credit cards, and even collectibles.
Given all that, it’s no shock that there are MagicBand hacks. And, as you know, we love hacks. From hacks that’ll help you save money to tricks for how to get on rides faster to the ultimate snack hacks, if there’s a new tip out there, chances are that we’ll try it out to see if it works. And along with that list, we’ve tried quite a few MagicBand hacks over the years…now we’re sharing our favorites!
Getting stuck on a Disney World ride can be annoying, but hear us out, it might just be the highlight of your trip!

Dinosaur!
We’ve ridden Disney World rides so many times that it’s a treat to see the ride in a completely new way. For example, getting to walk through Spaceship Earth with the lights on when it gets stuck, or Space Mountain with the lights on. Recently, a family member of someone on the DFB team got stuck on DINOSAUR and got to see the attraction with the LIGHTS ON!
New bao buns have arrived in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We are suckers for fluffy bao buns filled with delicious fillings, so when we spotted a new addition to Tiffins Restaurant’s menu, we had to give them a try. New bao buns will also be coming to Nomad Lounge — although they will be different than the new ones at Tiffins. So, if you are a bao bun fanatic, check out both Tiffins and Nomad Lounge for new offerings.
Over at Tiffins, you can grab the Pork Belly Bao Buns. Nomad Lounge will be offering Korean Barbecue Mushroom Bao Buns (although they didn’t have them quite yet when we were in Animal Kingdom last week. We grabbed a table at Tiffins Restaurant to try out the new buns, and now we are bringing you our review!
Our favorite city (well, excluding CityWalk) just got a whole lot more convenient. Last year, downtown Orlando announced a free parking initiative that’s continuing into the new year. The Park DTO program was first launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to encourage traffic and consumers downtown. The popular freebie was relaunched in 2023 and has helped Orlando’s recent growth with over 30 new local businesses opening downtown last year.
Drivers can get free two-hour parking at all parking spaces downtown – both metered and non-metered – 24 hours a day, every day of the week. The move is to encourage both visitors and locals to support local businesses, make downtown more accessible, and explore everything the city has to offer.
EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts starts NEXT WEEK, and we couldn’t be more stoked!

If you’re planning to head to the festival and want to make the most of it, these are the EIGHT essentials you can’t forget to pack!
