Walt Disney World’s Land Pavilion
is home to one of our go-to quick service spots in Epcot’s Future World — Sunshine Seasons — but upstairs from Living with the Land is one of my favorite underrated character meals: Garden Grill. It’s here, in a rotating restaurant, that diners meet Disney character friends, dine on some really great grub, and get a bird’s eye view of the attraction below. It’s truly one-of-a-kind.
Remember, at Garden Grill, always ask for a booth versus a table. I just think they’re more fun, plus your view of the Livin’ With The Land attraction scenes below is much better with a booth!
Before we get into the food, let’s say hello to some friends. Garden Grill is home to Farmer Mickey who always looks sharp in his overalls and plaid!
Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays
is in full jingle bell spirit, and we’ve been bringing you loads of great stuff — including a live look at the Festival, full menus from the holiday food booths and pictures of Festival bites, and our Best of the Fest!
And in case you were wondering, there’s tons of Festival of the Holidays merchandise to help you remember your tasty and fun visit! First, you’re going to need a Happy Holidays tote in which to carry all of the other merchandise you’ll want.
In April of this year, Disneyland Resort announced that two brand new character meals were coming to the resort — and in true @DiningInDisney fashion, our Disneyland correspondent Heather Sievers was all over it! She enjoyed Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet (which is billed as a Brunch Buffet on weekends and select Mondays and holidays!) at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel — and it. was. awesome.
This buffet brings Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale in their finest adventuring attire — and Heather received this cute button on her visit, too! Doesn’t Mickey look ready for fun?
It’s time for a party with Donald Duck — and friends! — at Donald’s Dino-Bash in Animal Kingdom!
To join the Bash, head on over to DinoLand, U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom.
Are you ready to start your day with Chip & Dale (along with a few more Disney pals) at Epcot’s Garden Grill?!
That’s right! Garden Grill, Disney World’s only rotating restaurant, has been serving dinner only for a while now. But on November 8th, TWO new meals joined the lineup: Garden Grill now serves up breakfast AND lunch, in addition to dinner! (This, by the way, brings the total of Character Breakfasts in Epcot to two, with the Norway Pavilion’s Akershus Royal Banquet Hall offering the other option with Princess Storybook Dining. Characters are now at both restaurants for every meal.)
The menu for the new lunch addition nearly duplicates that of Chip ’N’ Dale’s Harvest Feast for dinner. But breakfast is all-new, operating each day from 8:00 to 10:30 am.
We can’t wait to dig in! And we’ve got a few friends who would like to say “Good Morning” to you, too…
But let’s take a look around first. And, as always with the Garden Grill, I do mean AROUND… [Read more…]
As we say goodbye to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival for another year and anticipate the eats at Holidays Around the World, we welcome news of more fun to come at Epcot this Spring!
Details have been announced for the 22nd Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Mark your calendars for 75 days full of flowers, fun — and food! The 2015 Festival will run from March 4 until May 17.
What can we expect from the 2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival? Read on to find out!
For the third year running, the Festival will feature Outdoor Kitchens situated around World Showcase.
The Outdoor Kitchens have been a welcome addition to the Festival, drawing a whole new crowd for the mammoth event. Reminiscent of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, the kiosks feature flavors of many of the World Showcase Pavilions.
Appetizer portions make it easy to experience lots of variety, and the smaller scale of the event — there are only about half as many Booths as you find at the Food and Wine Festival — makes it easier to try all of your favorites.
We’ve really enjoyed strolling the Promenade, taking in the international array of [Read more…]
One of my favorite stores to visit in Disney California Adventure is the “Off the Page” gallery located next to the Art of Animation building in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. They always have fun items ranging from fine art, to tech gadgets, to kitchen goodies and statuettes.
On a recent visit I noticed these cute “Foodie” statues and thought it would be fun to share them on the blog.
My favorite of the statues is this Donald Duck piece with Chip and Dale behind him sneakily stealing his ice cream. The statue is pretty large, 17 inches tall, and designed by Disney artist Brian Blackmore. It’s hand painted sculpted resin and sells for $199.95.
Next up we’ve got Chip and Dale “sharing” a peanut. Also made of hand painted sculpted resin, this statue stands 12 inches high and was designed by Disney Artist Costa Alavezos. It’s $99.95.

Disney Food for Families columnist Erin Foster sings the praises of her favorite Disney treat.
Other Disney snacks are more luscious, richer, chewier, and chocolate-ier. I have a place in my heart for some of these sultry sirens (I’m talking to you Disney fudge). But when it comes time to choose a snack to take home with me, I’m going with the Chip & Dale pretzel every time.
Yes, it’s a packaged pretzel. In most cases, it’s the most basic of snack foods, hardly worth mentioning; but if it’s a Chip & Dale pretzel, then it’s so much more. Truly this is the ultimate in [Read more…]

I was searching for pics of the 2010 Epcot Food and Wine Festival pins and look what I happened to come across!
This adorable pin depicting Beaches and Cream‘s most famous dessert — the Kitchen Sink — came available for purchase a month ago on June 24th! Of course, everyone knows that this dessert deserves the recognition; served with two scoops of every single ice cream flavor, every single topping in the place, whole candy bars, oreos, and an entire can of whipped cream, it’s [Read more…]
