We do our best to keep up with all the menu changes we catch online. We’re also in the parks checking out any and all seasonal treats as they appear. Sometimes, we just notice some new snacks while we’re wandering around the parks. Well, we’ve got two NEW snacks in EPCOT to tell you about, but they come with a word of warning.
Around here, we like to live every day like it’s National Peanut Butter Cookie Day! But if we’re being technical, then we have to admit that the actual National Peanut Butter Cookie Day is in fact today!
PB Chocolate Swirl Cookie
When it comes time to properly celebrate this finger-licking holiday, there’s really no better place than a Disney World bakeshop that puts peanut butter in just about EVERYTHING, including a special one-day-only cookie sandwich!
We’re totally fine with Disney rolling out the holiday treats early. We already had a Valentine’s Day Red Hot Cinnamon Cupcake that was the bomb dot com.
Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich
We noticed that another Valentine’s treat has arrived a month and a half in advance. The crowd-favorite Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich is back for the most romantic time of the year. But. Um. It’s not quite what we remember.
We’re not really sure how to tell you this, so we’re just gonna come out with it: Walt Disney World’s beloved Carrot Cake Cookie has been ‘updated.’ Changed. Reinvented. Altered unnecessarily. However you say it, the truth remains: the Carrot Cake Cookie as we knew it is no more.
Let’s get into this. You can still find the Carrot Cake Cookie at Trolley Car Treats — Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Starbucks location. (Since Sweet Spells closed a couple of weeks ago, Trolley Car is the only location where you can pick up this popular treat!) It costs $3.99 (or a DDP snack credit), so it’s a relatively reasonable price.
