A lot of things have changed about Disney World since the global pandemic shut down the parks in 2020.
The Disney Dining Plan disappeared, Extra Magic Hours shifted into something new, and the free FastPass+ was replaced by Genie+, which you have to pay for. Another thing that switched up was how you plan your Disney World vacation — you now need both a theme park ticket AND a theme park reservation in order to get into the parks. This system doesn’t seem to be leaving any time soon, but it IS changing.
We’re not going to sugarcoat it: planning a Disney World trip can be HARD!
There’s a lot that goes into planning your trip, like budgeting for the trip, deciding where you’re going to stay, figuring out whether or not you want to buy Genie+, and more. Last year, Disney told us that a NEW MagicBand would be coming soon to the parks — MagicBand+.

MagicBand+
This new version of the MagicBand has updated technology and a lot of cool new features, and we just found out WHEN it’s going to launch at Disney World! But, that’s not all of the news, because we also found out about how much it’s going to cost.
The 2022 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has kicked off in Disney World, and there is a LOT to prepare for! It started on July 14th and runs alllll the way until November 19th this year.
First off, you’re going to want to take a look at those food booth menus so you can map out which items you want to grab while in the parks. You should also probably check out the line up for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series to see which artist will be performing while you’re at the festival, or even to schedule your trip around a certain artist! We’re getting you ready with our guidebook to the festival, our free printable for all of the food booths, and some sound advice, but there is one major thing we need to talk about — BUDGET! So, let’s break down what an actual realistic budget looks like for EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival.
If you’re planning a Disney World vacation for later this year, you might have already bought your tickets, but there could be something you’re forgetting about.
Park Pass Reservations! Yep, Disney World is still requiring Park Pass Reservations in addition to a ticket to get into the parks. Even if you don’t know which park you want to visit on a certain day in December of 2022, it’s a good idea to go ahead and make your reservations because they can fill up. You can switch them around later (depending on availability), but it’s better to have a reservation to a different park rather than no reservation at all! But, if you’re planning to visit the parks this October, you might already be out of luck.
We don’t know about you, but we get SO excited when we’re planning for an upcoming Disney World trip! Just thinking about all of the food, rides, and entertainment we’re about to enjoy gets us so hyped up.

Planning ahead of time can help you avoid many stressful situations, but there are still issues that could happen during your trip.
