I need to make a confession that might get my Disney fan card revoked: Space Mountain, once my absolute favorite attraction in Disney World, now leaves me feeling like I’ve been tossed in a washing machine with a bunch of bricks.

Another Disney World ride will close in January 2025.

We already know that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will close for at least a year beginning January 6th, 2025. And over in Animal Kingdom, Kali River Rapids will close for refurbishment on January 6th. Also in Animal Kingdom, TriceraTop Spin will be closing permanently on January 13th, 2025, to make way for the new Tropical Americas land. Now, Disney has just announced that a Tomorrowland ride will close soon. Let’s take a look!

However, we’re also always changing with it. Our snack preferences change, our tolerance for extreme heat may be getting lower, and, of course, we get older year after year. We’ve found that a lot of the members of our team have really started to notice this as they visit the parks in recent years because a lot of our team is made up of Millennials. As much as it pains us to admit, we’ve started to run into a nearly irreversible problem in the parks.

Chances are, we’ve all been there. You’re bobbing along a Disney World dark ride, still dreaming about the hand-dipped corn dog you just demolished for lunch (or breakfast, I don’t judge) when out of nowhere — BAM!

An eerie face stares back at you from the darkness. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but something about this face just isn’t right. Sure, logically you know it’s just an animatronic robot designed by the best Imagineers around — yet you can’t shake the feeling that those eyes are staring directly into your soul. You aren’t alone in this feeling, either, because there are definitely some Disney World animatronics that I’m pretty sure are possessed.
