Disney World, like other theme parks, is not immune to unpleasant things happening. With the heat being as intense as it is during the summer, the general ability for human beings to accidentally trip and fall anywhere, and medical emergencies that don’t care where you are when they happen, the parks are bound to have incidents.
Disney is required to report incidents of guests being injured on their rides, or incidents that require someone to be in the hospital for over 24 hours, as part of incident reports. Most recently, it was reported that in April 2026, a man passed away from a heart attack after riding “it’s a small world” in Magic Kingdom.
