The newest EPCOT attraction hasn’t even opened yet, but we’ve seen a LOT of opinions about it.
It’s stunning!
We’re talking about Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana, which we recently got to check out during Cast Member previews. We took you along with us to show you the full attraction (as well as its awesome bathrooms). A LOT of folks seem to think this should have been a ride rather than a walkthrough attraction, but we’re going to tell you why it’s actually a good thing.
There are several temporary CLOSURES in Disney World right now, including a popular ride in Magic Kingdom and a few restaurants across the resort.

Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana
The new Moana-inspired attraction in EPCOT — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana — is set to open in the fall of 2023. We’ve been not-so-patiently waiting for it to arrive, but we were lucky enough to attend a Cast Member preview! We had a ton of fun walking through this exploration trail and playing with the living water — you can read all about our experience here. But, there was one thing that didn’t quite go according to plan.

Moana
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is an interactive, walk-through experience that will be opening this fall in EPCOT’s World Nature. The attraction allows you to interact with “living water,” learn about the natural water cycle (and how to protect and preserve water), and features all kinds of unique character details to hunt for. But what is it REALLY like to go through this attraction? Well, we grabbed tons of videos and photos during a special Cast Member preview and now we’re taking you along with us to experience it all.

The brand-new Moana-inspired walk-through attraction — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana — is set to open in the fall of 2023. We’ve seen sneak peeks of the attraction, and some of the construction walls have come down in the area, but we FINALLY got the chance to experience it for ourselves and we’re taking YOU with us!
Although we still don’t have an official opening date for Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana in EPCOT, we got to attend a Cast Member preview of the attraction today!

So here’s the thing — the attraction is GORGEOUS and definitely has that whole EPCOT fun, yet educational, vibe. But there was one thing about the attraction that surprised us the most — its bathroom. Yep, we’re going to have to add a NEW bathroom to the list of best bathrooms in Disney World because this one is UH-Mazing.
When you drink around the World, where do you begin?
Mexico
Yes, we know we just started a SERIOUS debate from the start on the left side vs. start on the right side crowd at EPCOT’s World Showcase. We’ll admit we generally go left to Mexico because we think that pavilion has some of the BEST drinks. Mostly, we also just love La Cava del Tequila, and now we have even MORE of a reason to head there first.
If you’ve been waiting to learn more about Journey of Water, Inspired by MOANA, we finally have a closer look.
We’ve been watching the construction progress on Journey of Water for a while now. We have seen a few details like what the Cast Members’ costumes will look like and the concept art that inspired the attraction. Yesterday, walls came down around the attraction so we could see a few more details. Now, Disney is giving us a much closer look at what we can expect.
