Fish and Chips is a staple dish at Disney Springs’ Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant and Cookes of Dublin (the counter service spot that’s Raglan-adjacent!). But what if you’re visiting the shopping district with food allergies? There’s a fish and chips for you!

Review: Rose & Crown at Walt Disney World’s Epcot
Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
is a favorite of many Walt Disney World guests — and it’s easy to see why.
The charm of this table service restaurant is apparent from the curb, as the facades of the United Kingdom in Epcot’s World Showcase blend from one architectural era to the next. And inside the doors? The charm continues.
But all the charm in the world doesn’t mean a thing if the food isn’t good — and here, it’s good. Almost across the board, we’ve enjoyed our visits to Rose & Crown, no matter whether we dined in the Dining Room or in the Rose & Crown Pub that’s adjacent to the restaurant proper.
On our last visit, we tried a Battered Bangers and Mash dish in the pub, but on this most recent visit, we were in the mood for the Dining Room — and those entrees!
Atmosphere
Rose & Crown impresses from the jump, with the exteriors heavy and classic. We love the dark green window casings of the Rose & Crown Pub.

Review: Stage Door Cafe Classics in Disneyland’s Frontierland
Howdy, pard’ners! We’re traveling back to Disneyland’s Frontierland for a trifecta of favorites at the Stage Door Cafe!
Seriously, this simple little spot holds more Disneyland food legends than you can shake a stick at. It’s pretty much a must-visit every time I’m in Disneyland. (I say that a lot, don’t I? ;-D) Let’s take a quick look around.
Atmosphere
And I do mean quick, because Stage Door Cafe is a pretty darn tiny counter service spot tucked around the corner from The Golden Horseshoe. Still, it’s got some cool old-timey details outside, like wrought iron on the doors and lanterns overhead. [Read more…]

First Look: Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic 2015
Earlier this week, we had the chance to check out a sneak preview of some of the wonderful offerings at the 2015 Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic.
The Swan and Dolphin Resorts’ companion event to the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off TONIGHT! And if you haven’t gotten your tickets already, no worries — you can purchase them at the Will Call Table.
The Food and Wine Classic consists of two different offerings. You can attend informative seminars, where you can learn about everything from Cheese Pairings and Pasta Making to Wine Blending and how to make the perfect Caipirinha!
But there’s also the Causeway Grandtasting. Set up between the two resorts, the Causeway offers tasting-size portions of special dishes that represent all of the resort’s restaurants. There are also additional areas highlighting the diverse talents of the Swan and Dolphin Culinary Team.
I have plenty of new stuff to share with you, and there are some great food and drinks returning. Let’s take a look around at what the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic has to offer this year!
NEW! Carnival Corner
Carnival Corner
will be a brand new addition to this year’s Food and Wine Classic! The area, inspired by sweets and treats from childhood, will showcase the Swan and Dolphin Food Trucks/Trailers.
In this special area, guests can enjoy four different fun foods: Mac and Cheese, Corn Dogs, Funnel Cakes, and Nitro Kettle Corn! [Read more…]

Review: Victoria Sponge Cake at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot’s UK Pavilion
It’s somewhat rare that anything changes at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in Epcot’s UK Pavilion.
And I don’t mean that as a bad thing. When you’ve got a great classic like Fish & Chips as the main event, I’m of the opinion that Yorkshire County Fish Shop falls squarely under the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” category.
So when I strolled past a few weeks ago on the way to meet some friends at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room and noticed that the dessert option had changed to Victoria Sponge Cake filled with jam and buttercream (you can now also find whole fruit options as well), I knew I wanted to get back as soon as possible and give it a try.
Prior to the Victoria Sponge Cake, the dessert option on this limited menu was an English Bay Sugar Cookie, and before that, the common dessert option was a package of shortbread cookies for… well, for as long as I can remember. So the Victoria Sponge Cake is a definite departure from the cookies.
Unfortunately, I can’t claim to be familiar with a traditional English Victoria Sponge Cake. But I can tell you that the version you’ll receive at Epcot comes, understandably, in a “To Go” package, custom made for the search for seats at this popular stop.
Before I dug in, I wanted to give you a chance to see inside. Between [Read more…]
