Mayor Buddy Dyer announced in a press conference yesterday that the city of Orlando’s Fourth of July fireworks display is being canceled this year.
A pre-recorded version of Fireworks at the Fountain, the annual show held at Orlando’s Lake Eola Park, will be televised instead.

Universal Sends Out Surveys About Potential Re-Opening Scenarios
We just learned today that Disney World is beginning to send surveys to guests with existing reservations — asking which factors influence their decisions to travel. Universal has already sent out similar surveys in the past, but today they sent out a new set of questions.
According to Bay News 9, this new survey focuses on potential reopening scenarios — including various factors on capacity and cost, and how guests would feel about visiting the parks under each case.
Universal Orlando CityWalk is Reportedly Planning a Partial Reopening SOON
The state of Florida has begun reopening its retail and dining businesses, and there has been some speculation over when we may see shops and restaurants open at locations like Disney Springs and Universal’s CityWalk.
According to Attractions Magazine, it seems as though CityWalk, the shopping and dining district at the Universal Orlando Resort, is planning a partial reopening next week.

Disney World and the NFL lost a key figure today as legendary coach Don Shula passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 90.
Shula coached 33 seasons of the NFL and had a record-breaking 347 victories accredited to his name. One of his most notable accomplishments was his leadership of the 1972 Miami Dolphins.

As Walt Disney World Resort remains closed until further notice in light of the current global health situation, discussions are already in progress with regards to reopening the economy for the state of Florida. We have been following the discussions of the Re-Open Florida Task Force, which is focusing on businesses all over the state.
Walt Disney World is specifically located in Florida’s Orange and Osceola counties, and this week the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force is sharing their discussions via live streams on Orange TV.
