Bonjour from France — well, Epcot’s France, of course! The French Pavilion has long been a favorite of ours — and recently they have crushed it (as always) with treats like the Frosé and the new version of the Frangipane!
But today, we are sharing something food related — though not edible. We were strolling through France when we spotted the CUTEST jacket that we just HAD to share with you ASAP!
Bonjour
from France! Epcot’s France pavilion, that is. This is where where we spotted a new refreshing-sounding beverage at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie this week that we just had to try now that the Florida summer heat is most definitely upon us.
Introducing the all new Frosé!
Welcome to another What’s New from Walt Disney World’s Epcot! We’ll be strolling through Future World and World Showcase to give you a look at construction, merchandise, and FOOD! Grab your passport, and let’s stroll!
Construction at Epcot is visible before you even leave your car! [Read more…]
One question I am often asked is, “AJ, what do you eat in the parks when you aren’t gathering info for DFB readers?” My answer? Well, I have several favorites. And for years, one of them has been the Frangipane at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot’s France Pavilion.
Pictured above you’ll see the classic version I’ve loved ever since the first time I tried it. And I know what you’re thinking: “What’s the big deal?” But there’s always been more to this deceptively simple pastry than meets the eye.
As it turns out, though… my beloved Frangipane has been changed. The menu will still tell you that the Frangipane ($4.50 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit) is an “almond filling between puff pastry.” [Read more…]
BIG changes are coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion! We’ve been following along with the construction of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the highly anticipated attraction coming to the Pavilion. We are also looking forward to the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along experience joining the scene as well. And today brings news of a new restaurant being added to France, to boot: an authentic crêperie!
The crêperie will be built in a new location next to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. It will showcase the cuisine of celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse of Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul. The menu will be inspired by the Brittany region of France and will present table service dining along with a quick service location serving up both savory (“galettes”) and sweet crepes. [Read more…]
Epcot is busy with the International Festival of the Arts starting this Friday — we’ll be reporting live from opening day — but we still found new must-have food-themed merchandise being added to the shops as well as new drinks, sweet eats, teas, and construction progress — we’ve got it all covered!
Let’s jump in with that brand new space-themed restaurant near Mission: Space opening in 2020!
This is for all you Pumpkin Spice fans out there! Nope, we’re not done with Pumpkin Spice announcements quite yet… Guess what’s back in Epcot’s France Pavilion? You guessed it: the Pumpkin Spice Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich at L’Artisan des Glaces!!
The return of what’s become a fall snacking tradition makes the pumpkin spice season complete!
We had a case of wanderlust this week, and instead of getting out the passport and packing, we just hopped over to spend the day in Epcot. Our journey started with some time spent in Future World, followed by a trip around the World Showcase. And boy, did we find a lot new eats and buys for you on this “trip”!

Among the outstanding dining experiences in Epcot’s France Pavilion at Walt Disney World is a L’Artisan des Glaces, the pavilion’s quick service ice cream and sorbet spot.
This charming little (and we do mean little) shop used to be France’s pastry shop Boulangerie Patisserie, which was replaced, relocated, and renamed Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles about five years ago.
But what L’Artisan des Glaces lacks in space, it more than makes up for in quality.
