Each time we visit Disneyland we see more signs of the resort moving towards the elimination of single-use plastic straws. Last week we saw the first paper straws in Disneyland Park at Hungry Bear Restaurant.
This week we found paper straws at many more of Disneyland’s counter service locations, including Stage Door Cafe, Rancho Del Zocalo, and Galactic Grill. Just a few weeks ago two of these locations were still using plastic straws and lids.
You may have been following along with the updates regarding Disney’s commitment to reducing single-use plastics around Disney destinations worldwide in 2019.
While progress is being made towards these efforts, we’re finding that the realization of these goals seems to be in different phases in different spots.
