Disney World’s average wait times took a LEAP during this packed Thanksgiving week!
EPCOT has already gone through some MAJOR changes over the past few years, but there are still a few more to go.

The biggest changes were those made during the massive EPCOT transformation that re-imagined entire parts of EPCOT, gave us Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. But EPCOT isn’t done just yet. Disney is also working on reimagining Test Track into a brand new version of itself. We’ve seen concept art of that re-theming, but Disney recently shared a look INSIDE the work being done at Test Track RIGHT NOW.
Sorry, Pop Century fans, but we have a bit of bad news for you.
Pop Century Resort
There has been ongoing construction at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and while it was supposed to be done this week, it has now been extended once again. Luckily, it’s not all bad news, though! Let’s find out what Everything Pop Dining & Shopping construction will continue and what is done.
Disney will unveil a brand-new take on a classic EPCOT ride in 2025!
Test Track
In June 2024, Test Track closed to be reimagined as a new, third version of the ride. The new iteration of the attraction will take inspiration from its predecessor, World of Motion, and is currently scheduled to debut in 2025. And, if that isn’t enough to get you hyped for the revamp, there are also 6 BIG additions coming to Test Track 3.0!

Disney World’s average wait times took an overall dip this week, with even the resort’s busiest rides coming in at relatively short times, comparatively speaking anyway.
As the weather gets cooler in Florida, fewer people will find swimming an enticing activity.
Disney’s BoardWalk
It’s during the winter months that Disney will often close pools for refurbishment since there aren’t nearly as many people swimming when the temperatures are cooler. As we’re getting into the last months of the year, we’re starting to see hotel pools close, including one that will be closed until late December.

New lands are getting added to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while other new attractions are replacing current ones in all four parks. Disney World’s wait times seem to be all over the place right now — one day, a popular ride may have a long wait all day long…and the next day the wait time won’t even break an hour. There’s a lot going on at Disney World right now and that means folks are flocking to the parks, but let’s see what that means for wait times.

These refurbishments are often for routine maintenance, but sometimes changes are also made. Spaceship Earth
Earlier this year, at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it was revealed that Disney World would be getting eight new rides! Unfortunately, this means that the parks will be filled with construction walls for a while as these new projects are built. The good news is that while some projects are years away, a ton of new offerings will debut next year, two of which will be at EPCOT!
