So much is happening in Disney World lately, so going on rides can sometimes feel like an afterthought, right?
Okay, we’re kidding! We know rides are still a MAJOR part of people’s Disney trips. But seriously, recently we’ve had character meet and greets come back, EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival begin, two fireworks shows happening every night in Magic Kingdom, and more. So, have all of these things had any affect on wait times? Let’s find out!
Magic Kingdom
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 78 minutes!
After that, we had Peter Pan’s Flight at 64 minutes, Jungle Cruise at 60 minutes, Splash Mountain at 59 minutes, Space Mountain at 50 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 41 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 41 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 36 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 33 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 32 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 32 minutes.
Next, we had “it’s a small world” at 23 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 23 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 23 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 17 minutes, Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 17 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 14 minutes.
Then, we saw Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 12 minutes. Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 11 minutes, and Mad Tea Party at 11 minutes.
And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 9 minutes, Liberty Square Riverboat at 6 minutes, and Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Before we know it, spooky season will arrive in Magic Kingdom! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is coming back this year, which includes fun things like fireworks and ride overlays. You can find out more about the party here.

EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait was…Test Track at 63 minutes?! WHOA! Test Track hasn’t taken the top spot for the highest wait times since before Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened up. What’s going on?! We are perplexed.
Then, we had Frozen Ever After at 62 minutes, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 59 minutes, Soarin’ at 40 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 32 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 19 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 15 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 12 minutes, Living with the Land at 11 minutes, The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 9 minutes, and Gran Fiesta Tour at 9 minutes.
Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!
Remember, EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival just started in EPCOT! You can see all of our food booth reviews right here, see our best of the fest here, check out all of the entertainment offerings here, and see all of the merchandise here!

Hollywood Studios
Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 100 minutes.
After that, we had Slinky Dog Dash at 87 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 79 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 63 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 58 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 54 minutes, and Tower of Terror at 51 minutes.
Yeah, Tower of Terror, which spent MONTHS being number 1 or 2 for the highest wait time in Hollywood Studios is now waaaay further down the list. Wanna know why? Because half of the ride was closed! But don’t worry, it’s back up and running now.
And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 33 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 21 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 14 minutes, Walt Disney Presents at 14 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes.
We’re STILL waiting for Fantasmic! to return to Hollywood Studios, but for now, you can enjoy shows like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Beauty and the Beast — Live On Stage, or the Wonderful World of Animation.

Animal Kingdom
Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 103 minutes.
Then, we had Na’vi River Journey at 61 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 56 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 44 minutes, Expedition Everest at 36 minutes, and DINOSAUR at 34 minutes. We know what you’re thinking — Kali River Rapids in 3rd?! Yep, for the past few weeks it has won out over the other rides for one of the highest wait times in the park. We’re assuming it’s because it’s SO HOT in Disney World right now and people want to cool down!
Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 12 minutes, Triceratop Spin at 10 minutes, The Boneyard at 0 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at 0 minutes.
It’s hot almost everywhere in Disney World right now, but the heat can have some of the most impact in Animal Kingdom. If you want to make sure you see as much animal activity as possible during your trip, we’d recommend getting to the park as early as possible since it’s cooler outside at that point!
