It’s Mardi Gras season, but the French Market Restaurant AND Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland just CLOSED (to make way for the upcoming Tiana’s Palace restaurant). You know the Mint Julep Bar — the place where you could grab the delicious Mickey-shaped beignets at Disneyland? When we heard this news, we panicked a little, not gonna lie.

Of course, Disney knows better than to make us suffer from a lack of Mickey beignets, especially during Mardi Gras. Although the French Market Restaurant is permanently closed, the Mint Julep Bar will reopen later this year as part of Tiana’s Palace. In the meantime, you can grab Mickey beignets from another location at Disneyland!

You can grab your fix of Mickey beignets from Royal Street Veranda in Disneyland for $4.99 for a pack of three beignets. However, there’s a catch….

It seems like EVERYONE is flocking to buy some powdered sugar goodness. And we mean everyone! The line wrapped around the side of the building when we visited recently. We can’t blame them though — the beignets are worth the hype.

This line is LONG!

So, just know that if you’re wanting a Mickey beignet, you may have to wait for it…for a really long time. However, we all know that good (and often very delicious) things come to those who wait.

No end in sight!

And there might be a way to AVOID that long line — Royal Street Veranda has Mobile Order, which means you can order your beignets ahead of time and head straight up to the window to pick them up when you arrive.
