TRON Lightcycle / Run
From Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT (which opened in 2022) to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom (opened in 2024 and 2023, respectively), there are a couple of attractions you’ll want to add to your must-ride list. But if you’re hoping to check out TRON during your visit, we’ve got some important updates for you.

Disney is celebrating Halloween in some BIG ways, with major celebrations in the parks and the return of Halloween on the High Seas for Disney Cruise Line. Back in July 2024, Disney World changed up its Lightning Lane offerings, ditching the old ways of Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes and swapping over to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass instead. The system has made some major changes to how and when you book your Lightning Lanes, but one of the biggest benefits is that you can now check prices for Lightning Lane Multi Pass in advance!

Yep, we’re talking about the tiny train town in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT, where the villagers run amuck and tomfoolery is on the daily schedule. As the town’s self-appointed mayor, I stop by weekly to check out the shenanigans, and this week you won’t believe what I caught going on!
Have you ever used a virtual queue in Disney World?
Magic Kingdom
For the past few years, virtual queues have been common for newly-opened Disney rides, starting with Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios, and being used as recently as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. There doesn’t seem to be a set “rule” on how long Disney chooses to operate new rides with a virtual queue system, but we saw Rise of the Resistance swap to a standby line after a few years when the initial demand had died down a bit. Now, another attraction is getting rid of its virtual queue!
Do you visit the water parks when you go to Disney World?
Blizzard Beach
Disney World is home to both Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The parks generally rotate being open throughout the year so that one of them is available for visitors at a time. They’re a great way to enjoy a slightly more relaxing day than you would have at one of the theme parks, and if you’re a water park fan, we’ve got good news for you!

Disney Cruise Line is working on adding several new ships to its fleet, and some are coming as early as THIS YEAR! Toward the end of 2024, we’ll be getting the Disney Treasure‘s inaugural sailing, and then in 2025, we’re going to say hello to both the Disney Destiny and the Disney Adventure. We can’t wait! And right now, there’s some new itinerary information on the Disney Cruise Line website.
