If so, you might be working on your packing list. Now, you already know we stress the importance of comfortable shoes for the parks, but you might also need some good shows for your hotel pool or the water parks (which are FREE on your arrival day if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel). Well, your kid’s new favorite pool and water park shoe may have just arrived online.
Disneyland is celebrating something HUGE this year: its 70th anniversary! Now, the big party has already kicked off and will run through summer 2026, bringing with it some fun celebratory decor to the parks, new food, along with returning entertainment (Paint The Night is BACK), a fun MagicBand+ activity, ride additions, and more.

However, one citizen of Disneyland is also getting some recognition during the big celebration. That would be Patrick Begorra, The Little Man of Disneyland. It turns out that he’s got his very own menu at the EXCLUSIVE Club 33 in New Orleans Square. Go, Patrick!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Soon, Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will close to make way for a new Cars expansion in Frontierland. Then a Disney Villains-themed land is coming to the park. There’s a brand new nighttime parade on the way. PLUS, a classic ride, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, is getting a massive refurbishment…speaking of which, we saw some very important testing happening at the ride recently — and we’re going to tell you why it matters.

The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure
First, a brand-new Monsters, INC. land is on the way. THEN, the Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The park is also getting two BRAND NEW SHOWS, including Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After (which we recently got a preview of in Disney World) and The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure, with both shows opening on May 27th. Well, Disney World recently dropped some NEW photos of the Little Mermaid show!
We know a lot of folks want to vacation in Disney World or at Universal Orlando (to see Epic Universe, of course), but cruising is also a popular travel activity for a lot of folks.

Whether you’re planning a Disney Cruise or a cruise with another company, though, there are some new costs you’ll need to be aware of. We previously told you about a proposed Hawaii tax that could mean your cruise costs more. According to Fox News, Mexico is getting ready to add a tax for all cruisers that will go into effect on July 1st.
Okay, if Zootopia is one of your favorite Disney movies, this is a great time to be alive because Zootopia is getting a lot of love right now.

A new Zootopia-themed land opened in Shanghai Disney Resort last year, with a REALLY cool new ride. Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Disney World is getting a new Zootopia show, Zootopia Better Zoogether! which is expected to open later this year. AND…even better, Zootopia 2 is set to arrive in theaters in November. It’s Zootopia fever, y’all! Well, we’ve got some exciting news about the movie sequel: Disney just dropped the first teaser trailer for it today.
Universal has been thinking BIG when it comes to theme parks, and it’s also thinking outside the box, or rather, outside Hollywood and Orlando for new theme parks. Sure, there’s Epic Universe, but that’s not the only thing Universal is working on.

Not only is there a horror experience coming to Las Vegas in August, but an all-new Universal theme park is coming to Texas in 2026, Universal Kids Resort. Now, Universal has dropped some details about the new theme park, but we recently drove by the new resort location and got some photos of its construction progress.
Something BIG…no, something EPIC…is happening at Universal Orlando. Epic Universe is opening TOMORROW, May 22nd, and ahead of that opening, the park is having a HUGE opening ceremony.

Now, we’ve already spent some time visiting Epic Universe and checking out all five lands, but we’re at the opening ceremony today where Universal is going ALL out to introduce its brand new theme park to the world. However, we didn’t expect to see what we saw at the ceremony because Universal brought in some surprise celebrities to welcome Epic Universe to the world! And, y’all — WE WERE THERE.

We’ve been getting TONS of details about spooky season, most notably about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including dates and things you can expect at the parties this year. In fact, for some Disney World visitors, tickets are already on sale! Yep, we’re about halfway to Halloween, so it’s time to start planning for spooky fun. However, we’re going to come back to spring in Disney World to look at restaurant changes that happened this week.
It’s hard to believe, but it will soon be summer in Disney World.

In fact, it’s kind of hard to believe that August is really only a few months away. With August comes a LOT of things, including the beginning of Halloween season in Disney World and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. However, this August is going to be even busier than you might have imagined because a LOT is going on that day. So if you’re headed to Disney World on August 29th, here’s your heads up.
