food IS a theme park
Today we shared the big news that traditional meet and greets are coming back to Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani.
But you may have missed an important detail within all of that news…
Of all the Disney World parks, Disney’s Hollywood Studios feels like it sort of gets the short end of the stick sometimes. But truthfully, there are SO MANY Quick Service treats to savor! But let’s not forget that there are some seriously beloved Table Service restaurants here, too!
For proof, just ask Yelp!
We’re here to tell you that you’ve been doing character dining WRONG in Disney World.
Chef Mickey’s is a classic, and Tusker House has some super unique (and tasty) dishes. Crystal Palace can be cute with all the Winnie the Pooh characters, and Storybook Dining at Artist Point has a villain AND a forest. But we personally feel like none of those places can top the restaurant we’re visiting today. Have we got your attention? [Read more…]
Change. It can be a great thing, or absolutely it can completely ruin something that was perfectly wonderful before. We’ve all dealt with a lot of change over the past few years — whether due to the pandemic or due to the ever-changing nature of life. Now, there are more changes to encounter in Disney World, but don’t worry — we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
One of the most iconic restaurants in all of Disney World is Cinderella’s Royal Table, located inside the Castle itself. It’s one of those you’ve-got-to-do-it-at-least-once type of spots, but it ain’t cheap to eat at and reservations aren’t always easy to come by. When Cinderella’s Royal Table first reopened (post-pandemic closures), a number of changes were made. Now things are different again with a NEW food item and modifications when it comes to the character aspect of the meal. Are these changes for the best or will they take away from the experience you used to have here? Let’s find out!
There have been a LOT of changes made to how we see and interact with characters at Disney World over the past couple years, and the changes seem like they will be continuing.
Many meet and greets were put on pause for a while and they have only just returned over the past few months. More and more character dining has also been coming back slowly. However, you still cannot stand next to a character and take a picture with them or go up and hug them — things are remaining physically distant for now. One of the most popular character meals in Disney World is over at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, and there has been another change to how you meet the restaurant’s namesake princess!

Disney World will soon be opening a new Table Service restaurant in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios called Roundup Rodeo BBQ. Not a ton of details are known about the project other than it will be Toy Story-themed and serve BBQ. We just recently learned that the spot DOES plan on opening this year, though!
While a new restaurant is exciting, we have been wondering if a BBQ joint is the best choice for Disney to be making. Especially because there are a lot of other Disney movies and characters that deserve some love! In particular, we’ve seen Disney’s newest movie Encanto become very popular, so would the people rather see the Madrigals get a food spot of their own? Well, we asked our readers to find out, so let’s look at what they said!

Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is known for many things: American cuisine, fun theming, but most of all, it’s known for fun character meals! Whether it’s the Disney Junior Play ‘n’ Dine Breakfast or one of Minnie’s Seasonal Dines, you’re in for a treat when you stop by Hollywood & Vine.
Speaking of Minnie’s Seasonal Dine, we’ve got dates for the first three events of the year at Hollywood & Vine!
EPCOT is known for having a LOT of delicious food. The countries around World Showcase each have some tasty dishes inspired by authentic cuisine from those cultures. Or you can visit during a festival (like the upcoming International Festival of the Arts) to find even more options at festival booths around the park.
With so many different options available, is it worth it to have a sit-down meal at a restaurant with a much less exotic menu? What if we told you that Mickey would be there? And that the entire restaurant is actually spinning? We’re visiting Garden Grill today to see if this spot is worth a visit in the best Disney World park for food. [Read more…]
