Disneyland is adding a new dining location in Adventureland, now being called The Tropical Hideaway, between The Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise.
Updated Menu at Alfresco Tasting Terrace in Disney California Adventure Park
Recently, we let you know that Cove Bar’s beloved Mickey’s Fun Wheel cocktail is now available at Alfresco Tasting Terrace (FYI — Neverland Tea and Black Pearl are available now, too!) — and now we’re helping ourselves to some tasty little appetizers at this relaxing and beautiful lounge in Disney California Adventure Park.
Challenge Accepted: How One Family Completed the 2018 DFB Cupcake Crawl!
Y’all, when we issued the 2018 Walt Disney World Cupcake Crawl Challenge a couple weeks ago, we knew it had the potential to be a deliciously fun activity for our amazing DFB readers — but we didn’t know just how adorable it could be!
You’ll recall that the challenge included fourteen of our favorite Walt Disney World cupcakes — plus a few bonus items that we just couldn’t help adding. The Rose Gold Cupcake sold at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at Epcot has been a particular fan favorite — even with a whole bunch of rose gold treats popping up every. where.
New! Seasonal Chicken Pot Pie Soup at Disneyland’s Harbour Galley!
Here at the DFB we are all about the seasonal eats, and our Disneyland correspondent Heather Sievers (find her over @DiningInDisney on Instagram!) found a totally delicious seasonal soup in Disneyland. Chicken Pot Pie Soup (served in a bread bowl for ultimate awesomeness) can currently be found at The Harbour Galley!
Why the Butterfly Beer Needs To Be On Your List at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
We all know that Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is one of the prettiest times to visit Walt Disney World’s second-oldest park. But with the addition of food booths (called Outdoor Kitchens at this festival!), the Festival got delicious, too!
Check out the full menus — and tons of food photos — for the 2018 Flower and Garden Food Booths here!
New Eats At Golden Oak Outpost in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
is a great wilderness food stop. Located on the path between Adventureland and Frontierland (and Pecos Bill’s neighbor) in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Golden Oak Outpost features a tiny and frequently-changing menu of mostly fried, delicious grub.
DFB Video: Food Tour of Epcot’s Morocco
Hope you’re having a great weekend! We’re back with another DFB Video this weekend, and we’re taking you on a food tour of Epcot’s beautiful Morocco Pavilion!
It’s no secret that the Morocco Pavilion is one of the most gorgeous and immersive Pavilions in Epcot’s World Showcase. What does tend to remain more of a mystery to many guests is this Pavilion’s food options. So we’d love to take you on a tour and show you some of the terrific and tasty options including one of the top Counter Service restaurants in Disney World. [Read more…]
What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney World Resorts: February 17, 2018
We just learned that Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opening on June 30 — but in the meantime, we’ve searched out What’s New NOW at Hollywood Studios (and nearby Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts!). Let’s gooooooo!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Menus and Eats
At pop-up bars around the park, guests can order two new seasonal drinks. Baby Blues is comprised of Tito’s Handmade Vodka (SHOUTOUT AUSTIN, TX!), Bacardi Superior Rum, Tanqueray Gin, Blue Curacao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Sprite! And you get a glow cube, of course.
Green Screen is Absolut Pears Vodka, Midori, Pineapple Juice, and Sprite (again with a glow cube!).
(Anyone else as disturbed as I am on the pricing of these?)
News! MICKEY WAFFLES Now Available at Magic Kingdom’s Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Who doesn’t love a good ol’ MICKEY WAFFLE?!
Most of us like-minded Disney food fans sure do. But the thing is, without an Advance Dining Reservation for a Table Service restaurant, it can be hard to find them inside the parks at Counter Service locations, even though they’re a staple in the Resort food courts. Last year, you could find Mickey Waffles at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor when they served a breakfast menu, but that only lasted a very short while.
Fortunately, now they have a new home in Magic Kingdom: Sleepy Hollow Refreshments! A fitting spot, since Sleepy Hollow is home to the popular Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich and the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with Nutella.
In fact, Sleepy Hollow has offered waffles topped with your choice of powdered sugar or strawberries and whipped cream for ages. But, while pleasant, they sure weren’t MICKEY-SHAPED.
But NOW…
YES — it’s a JUMBO Mickey Waffle!! Clearly, we ordered up the Mickey Waffle with Strawberries and Whipped Cream (for $6.79 or a snack credit (!!!!) on the Disney Dining Plan).
