Something new has been announced for Disney California Adventure Park!

Although Disney World has been offering new Annual Passholder perks recently, like an exclusive magnet, a lounge, and special photo-ops, the Park Pass lawsuit brought by Disney World Annual Passholders against Disney World continues. Since the lawsuit was initially filed, Disney announced plans to change the Park Pass Reservation System, but that change did not put an end to the lawsuit.
For reference, the lawsuit was filed in October 2022. It argues that Disney’s Platinum Pass and Platinum Plus passes were advertised with “no blockout dates,” yet Passholders alleged the Park Pass Reservation System created blockout dates for Annual Passholders, and therefore modified their original contracts with Disney. The lawsuit also spells out some other criticisms, arguing that Disney prioritizes regular ticket purchasers in the interest of a bigger profit, “takes advantage” of its loyal passholder fans, and “abused a global pandemic.” Now, let’s discuss where we’re at as of mid-June 2023.
There are SO many places to stay around Disney World, and it can be difficult to know just where you should go.
You could opt to stay at a Disney-owned-and-operated hotel — picking a room at the value resorts to save some cash, or splurging on a room at the deluxe resorts to enjoy some more perks. You could also stay off-site, at a Disney Springs area resort, or at some of the hotels on Disney World property that aren’t actually run by Disney. And now we’ve got some news about one of the most luxurious hotels on Disney World property!
We’ve seen quite a few changes within The Walt Disney Company in the past year.
Ever since Bob Iger stepped back into his role as CEO, he’s been making major adjustments. This has included rearranging some executive positions and later cutting 7,000 jobs. But now, another big change has come along.
It probably comes as no surprise that our favorite thing about Disney World is, well, the FOOD! We are Disney Food Blog after all.
But, what happens when the Disney World snacks we try happen to be absolutely horrendous? Okay, horrendous might be a strong word, though we’ve had our fair share of not-so-great eats in the parks and hotels this year. It’s time, Dear DFB Reader, to follow us on a journey of the WORST snacks we’ve tried in Disney World this year (and which ones you should get instead.)
Something weird has happened at Magic Kingdom and we need answers!
We recently tried a treat at Magic Kingdom that promised a mousse interior but looked more like a runny egg yolk, and there are some weird things going on with the crowds lately for the summer. But, this next change we’re going to talk about seems to have come swiftly and without notice, and we’ve been left with lots of questions. [Read more…]
Something NEW is coming to Disney Springs soon!
Starting July 1st, Disney Springs will be celebrating a festival called “Flavors of Florida.” During the event, which runs through August 13th, tons of restaurants in the shopping and dining district will feature special, limited-time dishes and drinks. We’ve got the FULL list of new (and returning) items you’ll be able to try here. But on top of the fun food, Disney has announced that something NEW will be coming to Disney Springs as part of the festival this year.
EPCOT isn’t the only place in Disney World to enjoy festival food.
We’ve already told you about the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Festival, but did you know there’s a festival in Disney Springs, too? It’s called Flavors of Florida, and as its name suggests, it’s all about foods inspired by the state of Florida!
Multiple different areas of Disney World are under construction right now.
There are tons of construction walls still up in EPCOT, mysterious construction began recently in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney hotels are not spared from the TLC. In fact, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is getting a pretty major makeover, and a new aspect of construction has just begun.
If you ask us, it’s always a good day if baby animals are involved.
A fan-favorite perk of visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is the opportunity to check out an impressive array of animals that roam around the savanna. What’s even better is that occasionally, we’re lucky enough to spot the adorable BABY animals that will sometimes grace us with their presence. Back in May, Disney announced that Penny, a baby yellow-backed duiker calf was born. Now, Disney has announced the arrival of two more baby animals that will join the Animal Kingdom family.
