But, this spot just got even better!
,opening on May 31 in Disneyland and August 29 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, has long been described as an immersive experience. Guests who venture to Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu will be stepping into the Star Wars universe, not just into a land in a theme park. And newly released information promises some serious guest immersion experiences we haven’t seen before.

Disney has gone to great lengths to enhance the guest experience by creating personalized character interactions, and in Black Spire Outpost, cast members are called “citizens of Batuu” to really drive home that experience. [Read more…]
It’s no secret that with Disney’s purchase of the Marvel Universe, the Walt Disney Company was banking on bringing superheroes to its many theme parks. Disneyland in California and Disneyland Paris are getting superhero-themed lands, and Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a Marvel-themed ride.
But even with copious development in Walt Disney World, the only major Marvel Comics-related growth is Epcot’s Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster. There’s no Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, or big green Hulk in sight.

Universal Studios, as you may have guessed if you’re a fan of their hero-themed rides and entertainment, retained the rights to the Marvel characters in an agreement signed in 1994 between Marvel and MCA (which would eventually become part of NBC Universal). But there were two caveats. One: Universal had to actually use the characters to retain control over them, and Two: the agreement split the country down the middle, and the rules applied separately to the areas east and west of the Mississippi River. Mobile Order is a process available via the Disneyland and Disney World’s My Disney Experience apps which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service restaurants.

Today was the BIG day that a LOT of people had marked on their calendar, as it delivered the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservations to the general public.

Just as a quick refresher, no-cost reservations (along with valid theme park admission) are required to enter Galaxy’s Edge in its opening weeks from May 31 – June 23, 2019. From June 24th onward, a reservation will no longer be required. But back to the task at hand…
It’s Star Wars everything at Disneyland Park these days with Galaxy’s Edge set to open in just a few weeks, but if you’re in the park this weekend — May 4-5 — you’re in for a treat! Disneyland’s Tomorrowland will be alive with loads of May the 4th merchandise, ride enhancements, and food and drink! These no-cost reservations are REQUIRED to get into Galaxy’s Edge from May 31 – June 23, 2019 (along with regular theme park admission). Registration for the reservation slots will open up to the public at 10:00 AM PST.
