Disney officially announced that the opening date was pushed back to 2022, and we got details about dining, a SUPER cool lightsaber, and more. But if you happened to check your My Disney Experience app today, you’ll notice something exciting just happened!
PHEW! It’s Star Wars Day, and that means we’ve been off on a galactic adventure all day long to show you everything happening in the parks!

There’s nothing like EPCOT in the spring!
Our DFB reporters are constantly visiting all the Disney World theme parks to see what’s new and bring you all the latest updates. During a recent trip to EPCOT we discovered some UNIQUE chip flavors (Texas Grilled BBQ chips anyone?), got a look at some EPCOT construction updates, and found that a part of an attraction that had been REMOVED is back! Ready to go on a virtual trip to EPCOT with us to see what’s new? Alright then! Let’s go!

*Cue the Star Wars theme!* If you haven’t been following along with us during our adventures on May the 4th (where have you been??), it’s STAR WARS DAY! And, that means Disney World is going all out with its eats, drinks, and merchandise this year.
Oi-Oi Puff
We’ve already been on a snack crawl through the galaxy with the Galactic Swirl Funnel Cake, Dark Side Chocolate Creation, Interstellar Sweet and Crunchy Popcorn, and MORE. Still, if you feel like celebrating Star Wars Day outside of the parks, there’s another treat you can snag in Disney Springs!

Cinderella Castle
With Disney World’s 50th anniversary coming up this October (!!), the park has been getting a little spiffying up. And over on Main Street, U.S.A., Main Street Confectionery is closed for a lengthy refurbishment! We’ve been following Magic Kingdom’s refurbishment calendar closely for any news, and now, we’ve got an update for ya.
May the 4th is a pretty exciting day for Star Wars fans!

Why? Because it’s Star Wars Day! Get it? May the FOURTH be with you. We’ve been snacking on a whole slew of intergalactic treats already today like the Galactic Swirl Funnel Cake (and even wielding some Lightsaber CHURROS), but now we’re headed over to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to see how they’re celebrating!

Magic Kingdom is undergoing a mini-transformation for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, from Cinderella Castle’s new look to other subtle changes around the park. And near Main Street, U.S.A., The Plaza Restaurant is getting some changes, too!
