As the warm summer months are in full force in Orlando, there is nothing quite like a relaxing day, cooling off in the water at one of the Disney World water parks. Disney World has TWO water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both are great ways to beat the heat, but fun in the sun also requires some fuel!
We are covering our favorite eats at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and what to avoid! We want to ensure your day by the water is filled with delicious food. We have tried it all, and we are bringing you our favorites. Let’s dive in!
While Disney’s latest show has made a good impression, some fans wish it were something different.
May 27, 2025, saw the opening of two new shows at Hollywood Studios, The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure, AND Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. The latter, a “spellbinding show with moving music and a most memorable finale—where you help decide who has been treated most unfairly” is our focus today.
Well, we just got some HUGE Magic Kingdom news. Now, we were already aware that Disney had plans to close Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to make room for its new Cars expansion in Frontierland. However, we just got a lot of HUGE news about the new expansion and how it will relate to the rest of the park.
Piston Peak (yep, that’s its name!) will take up space in front of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and bring an entirely new area to the park, as well as two new rides. However, Disney also made some other big reveals about this area that you might have missed, so let’s talk about it.
A Cars-themed area is coming to Magic Kingdom at Disney World, and fans have some thoughts. The biggest being: how does Cars fit into Frontierland?
The new area, called Piston Peak, will take over Tom Sawyer Island, the Liberty Square Riverboat, and the Rivers of America. Piston Peak will be nestled right by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. That doesn’t really scream Cars, does it?
Well, it’s really happening, and maybe we have been in denial, but we can’t deny it anymore: Muppets Courtyard is officially going away to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. land.
In fact, we’ve already had to say goodbye to a few Muppets Courtyard institutions, like Mama Melrose’s. We’ll also soon be saying goodbye to the rest of Muppets Courtyard including PizzeRizzo (okay, so we haven ‘t been kind to PizzeRizzo in the past, but we’ll still miss it). However, the hardest thing for us is going to be bidding farewell to Muppet*Vision 3D, but we’ve got some good news: Disney is giving us an extra hour to do so on its final day.
Goofy has taken over EPCOT, and we’re here for it!
For Cool Kid Summer, Disney World’s character-filled event running till September 1, Goofy has rethemed CommuniCore Hall to GoofyCore. He’s brought in games, DJs, entertainment Cast Members, and, of course, himself to play with guests of all ages. Now he’s taken over a whole food booth, so let’s see what he’s serving up.
Over the years, Disney has faced several lawsuits.
We’ve seen lawsuits filed for policy changes, for injuries from theme park visits, and even lawsuits filed by former Cast Members. One of the most frequent ones we’ve seen is people suing Disney World for water park injuries, and now we can add another lawsuit to that list.
Back in 2024, Disney shared that a new area inspired by the Pixar Animation Studios movie Cars would be coming to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve been hoping for more details ever since.
The NEW part of Frontierland will be called Piston Peak and will include new theming, two new rides, additional food and beverage options, and more. Disney recently shared a bit more about Piston Peak — including details about one of the ride’s preshows!
Disney World is about to undergo some SERIOUS change. Okay, technically, it has been undergoing change for quite some time already.
But, over in Magic Kingdom, those changes might be coming sooner than we originally thought. On July 7th, Tom Sawyer Island, the Liberty Belle Riverboat, and the Rivers of America will be closing forever to make way for a new Cars-themed area. To make that happen, the Walt Disney World Railroad will also have to undergo some changes.
