We might not be able to get our munch on in Main Street, U.S.A. right now, but we can at least do some shopping in Downtown Disney (and Disney California Adventure soon!). If you’re missing Disneyland popcorn, you’re gonna want to see this souvenir find!
Under the current theme park reopening guidelines released by the state of California, Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park are not able to reopen just yet.

Orange County, where they are located, needs to reach the Yellow risk tier, and it is currently in the Red risk tier (two tiers above yellow). Some have even stated that they expect Disneyland may not be able to reopen until the summer of 2021. But, that isn’t stopping Disneyland from taking steps to get their parks ready.

This week, we’ve seen the Disneyland President and the Mayor of Anaheim voice opinions about the new guidelines. Now, Disneyland has reached out to their Annual Passholders through email regarding the situation.
Although Downtown Disney has reopened, the rest of Disneyland Resort remains closed, and could stay that way for some time.

Previously, Disneyland Resort hotels were only accepting reservations starting on November 1st, but it seems that this date has changed again.
The state of California released the long-awaited theme park reopening guidelines yesterday, which calls into question when large theme parks like the Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood can actually reopen. The guidelines dictate that larger theme parks with capacities of above 15,000 may not reopen until the county in which it resides enters the Yellow “Minimal” tier.

Yesterday, California’s theme park reopening guidelines were announced, revealing that the Disneyland Resort theme parks, and all other “larger” theme parks in California, cannot reopen until the county in which they are located reaches the “minimal” tier under the State’s reopening plans.

Disneyland’s President has already noted that the guidelines will keep the park closed “for the foreseeable future,” and others have called the guidelines a “keep theme parks closed indefinitely plan.” But, it seems some California theme parks won’t simply be settling for these guidelines. Instead, some are now considering pursuing legal action.
