We’ve seen quite a few changes at the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) lately.
After the Reedy Creek Improvement District was out, the CFTOD was taken over by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who quickly appointed his own members to the board. Since then, we’ve seen a mass employee exodus in the district and more recently, some changes to those DeSantis-appointed board members. Now, it seems the district has officially agreed to change the name of Disney World’s fire department.
Most Disney fans know that there is a SCIENCE behind snagging the best spot on a Disney World ride.
Like, I will always wait for the very back row on Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom because the hills feel hillier, the breeze feels breezier, and ya get slung around like it truly is the wildest ride in the wilderness. I will also ask for a spot in section B row 2 (or section B row 1 if you don’t like feet in your face) on Soarin’ Around the World, so that I see the wonders of the world without squiggles and curves. I also LOVE getting the very front row on TRON Lightcycle / Run so that I’m just staring into a dark abyss after the outdoor section of the run — and that lil’ drop takes me by surprise every single time.
As Disney adults, we will pretty much watch any and all Disney Parks-related content.
For example, we binge-watched both seasons of Behind The Attraction on Disney+. We also love all the cool Imagineering videos we see on Disney’s social media, including YouTube. We also love when Imagineers share stories from their time working on attractions (we’ve learned SO much from Bob Gurr!). Well, now, Disney has premiered a NEW YouTube series, and it’s all about “How Happy Happens.” Okay, that’s a great title, right?
There’s a rogue town that’s bursting at the seams with crime in Disney World!
That’s right, we’re talking about the tiny train village in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT. We’ve uncovered many villainous plots in this miniature city’s storyline so far, from Godzilla-like bird attacks to murder to robbery…and so much more. But during this week’s visit, we spotted some new happenings!
One of the trickiest parts of planning a trip to Disney World (or anywhere) is the travel.
Finding flights that fit your plans, budget, and needs can be challenging. The actual day of flying can even be super stressful. It can be a lot to handle — getting to the airport on time, checking bags, getting through security, finding your gate, and just hoping your flight is on time. Fortunately, a new law was recently passed that will help alleviate SOME of the stress of delayed and canceled flights.
Sometimes, you want to feel fancy when you travel to Disney World …
And sometimes, you book the cheapest hotel possible, skip the park hopper tickets, and pack everything in a backpack to avoid airline luggage fees … because you just NEED to visit Disney World, even on a bargain basement budget. Today, I’m headed right down to the basement with you to show you what is probably the LEAST practical way to get from Disney World to Universal … but it is most definitely the cheapest.
Things are always changing in Disney World, which is why we stay on top of everything so we can tell you about those changes.
Sometimes those changes are HUGE, like an opening date for a new ride (Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we’re looking at you — give us an official date already!). Sometimes, it might be a change that happened on a Disney World menu or a snack that’s gone missing. However, we’ve got a new update to tell you about that will change how you pay for two experiences in Disney World.
If you’ve been waking up lately with the first thought in your head being “I wish Together Forever- A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular would come back to Disneyland” (A totally common thought), then boy do we have some exciting news for you.
Okay, okay, so maybe that’s not the first thought bubble that pops into your mind, but we know many of you will be excited to know this show will be coming back to Disneyland soon!
When I see “Starbucks half off,” I’m already sold on the news. And since you clicked on this post, it sounds like you are, too!
