We’ve been seeing a lot of closures at Disney Springs this year, so we were excited to see some “reopening” news regarding a popular store!

Disney Springs!
Disney’s shopping and dining district, Disney Springs, is home to many stores and restaurants. It doesn’t require theme park admission, so we always recommend that people stop by here at least once during their Disney World vacation. If you’re a fan of Columbia Sportswear, you’ll be happy to hear that the store at Disney Springs is set to reopen soon!

EPCOT

If you’re heading to Hollywood Studios this July, there are some major things to be aware of.
At the tail end of May, Galaxy’s Edge saw the addition of a new mission to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu (Baby Yoda, to those of you unfamiliar with the Galaxy Far, Far Away), which includes visits to Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or the bustling city-planet, Coruscant. A few days after Mando and Grogu arrived, the Muppets took over an iconic coaster! This new take on the classic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster features a soundtrack of classic songs as covered by the Electric Mayhem, as well as animatronics of Scooter, the penguins from Muppet*Vision 3D, and even Stadler and Waldorf! Both of these additions have proven hugely popular and will likely remain so into July. However, they’re not the only things going on at Hollywood Studios in July.
Universal is getting ready to open its first theme park for kids in Frisco, Texas. Dubbed Universal Kids Resort, the theme park will feature lands and attractions based on popular characters and stories like Shrek, the Minions, SpongeBob SquarePants, and more. However, the resort also has its very own hotel.
Universal Kids Resort Hotel features 300 rooms with its own dedicated park entrance, where you can enter the lines right outside the hotel vs. others coming from the parking lot. Guests staying at the hotel will also get the added perk of early park admission with select lands and rides open during that time. We had a chance to check out the hotel early, so we’re giving you ALL the details.
One of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved classic attractions is heading into a major overhaul, and if you’re planning a trip this summer or fall, this is absolutely something you need to know about.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress will close for refurbishment beginning July 6, 2026, with an expected reopening sometime in 2027. That’s a significant chunk of time offline, but the reason behind the closure makes the wait genuinely exciting. Here’s everything you need to know about the closure, what’s changing, and why this update is actually a really big deal.
Actress Daveigh Chase, who was the voice behind Lilo in Disney’s animated Lilo & Stitch has passed away at the age of 35.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chase had been suffering from meningitis, which led to a blood infection that eventually led to sepsis.
Some of the most useful Disney World hotel items are the ones we never expected to like in the first place.
After long park days, crowded buses, and early wake-up calls for rope drop, getting good sleep at your Disney hotel can feel surprisingly difficult. That’s why we’re always testing travel products that promise to make resort stays a little more comfortable. Every once in a while, we find something that sounds completely unnecessary until we actually use it. Then suddenly we’re adding extras to our Amazon cart.
If it seems like everything in Disney World is changing, well, it IS. There’s SO much going on right now. The parks are getting new lands, new rides, expansions, you name it. New shops and experiences are coming to Disney Springs. Even Disney World hotels are getting updates, but one recent construction project has Disney World fans talking…LOUDLY.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside just updated its Royal Rooms, and let’s just say when we posted photos of the new rooms, our readers had some SERIOUS OPINIONS. So let’s talk about how many of you feel about this recent hotel room change.
If you have ever stood in the middle of a Disney park digging through your Loungefly for one specific item, you already know the struggle. The thing you need is always in there somewhere. Unfortunately, it is usually hiding underneath a portable charger, a pair of sunglasses, three park maps you forgot to throw away, and a snack you packed six hours ago.
For a bag that is designed to carry just the essentials, a Loungefly can become surprisingly chaotic by lunchtime.
