So much construction!
From massive makeover projects at the resorts to new restaurants to the addition of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, there’s quite a bit to look forward to in 2024. But sometimes, construction projects can negatively impact your vacation. And that might be the case with one refurbishment in Magic Kingdom!
Things are changing a lot in Disney World these days!

The EPCOT transformation is nearly complete, several hotels are getting big makeovers, and the old Splash Mountain is getting converted into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. Outside of the ride being closed, that last one hasn’t affected park traffic too much…until now!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
That’s right — currently, Disney is renovating the old Splash Mountain ride into a new Princess and the Frog-themed attraction called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The makeover is taking place on both the east and west coasts, but in Magic Kingdom, it’s causing some changes recently!
There are a lot of places you’ll WANT to be during your Disney World vacation.
Magic Kingdom
You’ll want to be on time for your dining reservations and Genie+ Lightning Lanes. You’ll probably want to be in front of Cinderella Castle at night for that perfect fireworks view. And of course, at some point, you’ll want to brave the gift shops to get that must-have souvenir. But there are also plenty of places you DON’T want to be in Disney World…and we’re sharing the details!

We never knew bathrooms could be so controversial
With so much going on in Frontierland near the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction, it can be hard to navigate all of the construction to see exactly what is still open and what’s closed. We recently said goodbye to the pressed penny machines that held the last remnants of Splash Mountain in that same area.
