The fireworks show first premiered in 2021 for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary and replaced Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom. The show ran for the 18-month duration of the Anniversary celebrations, ending in early 2023 so that Happily Ever After could come back. But now, there’s a chance for you to see Disney Enchantment AGAIN!
We’re always scoping out great viewing locations for fireworks at Walt Disney World. When your day ends in the Magic Kingdom, it’s a fan tradition to stay for the magical fireworks.
Playing until April 2, 2023, Disney Enchantment is a fireworks and projection show that debuted as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration. While the show focuses on the park’s centerpiece — Cinderella Castle, the projections actually go ALL the way down Main Street, U.S.A.). We can’t wait for Happily Ever After to return to Magic Kingdom on April 3, 2023 with all-new projections!

Magic Kingdom has had its fair share of fireworks shows over the years with some like Wishes and Happily Ever After becoming true fan favorites. Most recently, Happily Ever After was replaced by Disney Enchantment for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and a special 50th Anniversary-themed tag was added to the beginning of the show. But now Disney has dropped some HUGE fireworks news.

There’s a LOT to look forward to in Disney World this year. We’ve been holding out for a new rollercoaster for a while now and that’s not all! Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration started on October 1st of 2021, but the party doesn’t show any signs of stopping any time soon. In fact, the 50th Anniversary celebration will run all the way through 2022 into the spring of 2023. Tonight is a big night — we’re finally getting a first look at Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom! While we were sad to bid farewell to Happily Ever After, we’re looking forward to seeing what this new nighttime spectacular is all about!

Tonight is the night that we finally get a first look at the nighttime spectacular, which makes its premiere just in time for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!
Disney World is preparing to debut TWO brand-new fireworks spectaculars next week: Disney Enchantment in Magic Kingdom and Harmonious in EPCOT.

Both of these shows will premiere on the first day of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which officially begins on Friday, October 1st. As Disney puts the final touches on these shows, those around the resort area may hear (or even see!) some fireworks testing taking place.
Out with the old, in with the new! As we get closer to the final performance of Happily Ever After, the fireworks spectacular that ran in the Magic Kingdom from 2017 to 2021, Disney has started preparing for Disney Enchantment to take its place.

Imagineers have been hard at work tidying up the parks and adding some shiny new decorations for the 50th Anniversary, but last night we caught them testing some new fireworks, too!
