We tried sparkly Dole Whips, GIANT ice cream sundaes, lots of classic treats that got 50th-themed updates, and so much more. Basically, our tongues were VERY blue from all of the treats we tried. There’s one delicious treat that you won’t find in the four theme parks at Disney World, and it’s got a bonus feature: there’s no blue dye involved at all!
Many restaurants around Disney World have been reopening recently!
Resort restaurants like Boma and Toledo have returned, as well places in the parks like Columbia Harbour House! We’ve been back to dine inside Cinderella Castle for dinner, since the restaurant reopened last year, and now, Disney has announced that breakfast is coming back to the castle, too! And, guess what? Reservations JUST opened up!
Many restaurants at the Disney World resorts have reopened recently, including ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Citricos (with a new Mary Poppins Returns theme) at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. We stopped by Trail’s End Restaurant this morning for breakfast, and here’s what it looks like now! [Read more…]
You’ve got a LOT of options for breakfast in Disney World.
And if you decide on some easy eats, you may find yourself at Contempo Cafe! This Quick Service spot at Disney’s Contemporary Resort serves up classic American foods like waffles, potatoes, and breakfast sandwiches…and now, there’s a new addition.
Bacon, and eggs, and Mickey waffles, OH MY!
Does anyone else find themselves craving breakfast food constantly? Just us?? Well, we’re so dedicated to “the most important meal of the day” that we decided to do some digging to see if there’s a place in Disney World that serves breakfast all day! It’s a brand new week! And we’re kicking it off with another DFB Video, where we’re talking about the best snacks for breakfast in Disney World!
Now, even though breakfast is called the most important meal of the day, the truth is that — in Disney World — the breakfast options don’t always provide the most bang for your buck, especially if you’re considering using a Counter Service meal credit from the Disney Dining Plan. But there are some brilliant ways to use your snack credits for breakfast at Disney World! And even if you aren’t using the Disney Dining Plan, lots of these make terrific options even if you’re paying out of pocket. So join us for breakfast… in Disney World! [Read more…]
Today we’re stopping to check out one of my favorite go-to breakfasts when I’m staying in the Epcot Resort Area at Walt Disney World.
I’m talking about the Cinnamon Roll from BoardWalk Bakery!
It’s crazy…this is one of my favorite quick breakfasts when I’m at Disney, and I was just SURE that I had shared it with you on the blog already! But apparently, I was a whole lot of WRONG on that, so let me enchant you with this awesomeness.
You know that this spot, which you’ll find at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, is home to lots and lots of our favorite treats. I can’t resist their Brownies (although they’ve changed a bit through the years), or their Lemon Meringue Tart. And it’s always fun to stop in and see what new Cupcakes I’ll find. Besides, it’s within walking distance of Epcot, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, and Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin, making it a perfect pitstop nearly every time I’m in the World.
And while you won’t go wrong with such breakfast dishes as the Breakfast Waffle Cone or pastries like the Jersey Crumb Cake or Brioche Pull-Apart Loaf, this is the one that I return to again and again.
As you can see, it’s no slouch when it comes to size, either. But seriously, the real star here is all. That. Frosting. (And it’s Cream Cheese!) [Read more…]

While this limited run breakfast is a new offering at Hollywood Studios, we do have some idea of what breakfast is like at Sci-Fi Dine-In, thanks to the Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast (offered only during and around Star Wars Weekends).
Please note: the picture below is from the Star Wars breakfast experience and not the upcoming meal, but at least you can get an idea about that Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Roasted Tomato! [Read more…]
As you know, I think that anything cinnamon roll related in Disney parks and resorts is a breakfast of champions. So when I was headed to the Magic Kingdom to meet a friend at the Main Street Bakery for breakfast recently, I decided I’d get a cinnamon roll.
When I arrived a bit early, I took my time scoping out the goodies available, which included these beauties:
…and realized that I haven’t really done a review of the Bakery, per say. It was part of the bakery throw down (speaking of, head over to that post to see lots of pics of atmosphere at the Bakery), of course, but as for really digging into the food options there, it’s been a while! So I took advantage of the situation.
I suppose it should have been a warning when the cast member at the check-out counter started pulling out the take-out containers, but when I got over to my table, I had this:
I got some pretty weird looks from folks, but I’m pretty used to that by now. 😉 And don’t worry, I took the food I didn’t eat back to the hotel room. And I subsequently found out that a cinnamon roll from the Bakery tastes surprisingly good even [Read more…]
