Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of construction, food, and merchandise updates, so let’s dive right on in!
We all have our own favorite forms of Disney Transportation that are a must-do during our trip to Disney World. But, Disney also has such a beautiful atmosphere filled with trees, lagoons, and flowers that we LOVE taking the time to walk around the property.
And we’re getting closer and closer to being able to combine a fun ramble around the property with transporting ourselves to Magic Kingdom via the Grand Floridian Walkway! The new pathway will allow guests to walk straight from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom’s entrance on a special direct path.
We’re making our way around Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, and having a fun adventure (even if it’s raining)!
While we made our way to Expedition Everest to say hello to our old pal Disco Yeti, we found a bit of a pleasant surprise in the park. Although Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks has been half closed since the parks reopened (Trek Snacks has been open, but Thirsy River Bar has been closed), it had a random re-opening today for guests!
The Halloween season has already been filled with Pumpkin Spice Sundaes, our favorite Disney characters dressed in costumes, and a crazy amount of merchandise around the parks too!
Buuut, there’s just something so magical about hearing “Boo to You” playing around the Magic Kingdom as we wear our best witchy get-ups. As we were walking down Main Street today, though, we heard familiar voices singing new spooky songs!
Today’s another special day in the Magic Kingdom as the Cadaver Dans return to Main Street to sing some spooky tunes, along with all the other Halloween entertainment happening in the parks!
Disney has been creating new ways to celebrate the holidays, rolling out themed Character Cavalcades and allowing guests of all ages to wear their Halloween best (even the Cast Members). But, that doesn’t mean that the parks have curtailed their health and safety measures. Along with the health and safety notice signs placed throughout the park, Disney has also recently updated the overhead announcements to confirm lesser-followed required procedures in Disney World like wearing your mask over your nose and not lowering your mask for photos.
Disney World is constantly changing during normal times, and in a post-closure world, it seems like it’s changing ever MORE often!
We’ve seen lots of changes this month regarding everything from face masks to Halloween (and sometimes both!). So, let’s take a look at some of those BIG changes and how they’ve affected our Disney days.
Some dinosaur fans might love heading to Jurassic Park in Universal Orlando, but DinoLand, U.S.A. has a special place in our hearts over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
This section of the park has recently been pretty quiet ever since Primeval Whirl closed permanently. But, today, there was a bit of hubbub in the area since Fossil Fun Games officially reopened to guests exploring the park!
Halloween has crept into Disney World and filled our days in the parks with tricks and treats!
We’ve been picking up goodies like the returning Pumpkin Spice Sundae (😍), Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake, and the new Headless Horseman Rides Again Dole Whip! But, you can make double the toil and the trouble with a line-up of spooky sips that will be heading to the Disney Resorts soon too.
The more Minnie Ears that Disney World releases, the bigger our collection grows back home (hey, that just means we have more accessories to pair with our outfits)!
It seems like each time we’re in the parks, we can’t help but find new pairs of ears to fashion. Today, we even spotted the Frosted Berry Minnie Ears and new Grape Food and Wine Minnie Ears that are perfect options as fall continues to sweep across Disney World! But, if your stack of Minnie Ears has been piling up recently, you might need a new place to keep your prized possessions.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been a fun place to play as we’ve seen animals lounging about in the Kilimanjaro Safaris or grab as many Dole Whips as possible during our trek through the park.
As Disney World continues to make shifts in the park operations, new face mask requirements have been added to the overhead announcement and social distancing measures are being enforced. While every place in the park isn’t open just yet to guests, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is bringing back entertainment that’s a blast for your little ones!
