If you are in Hollywood Studios today, we have some bad news about one of the entertainment options.
We spend a LOT of time on the Disney World website.
Checking park hours, looking for new menu items, searching for news on EPCOT festivals or ride refurbishments, or even just confirming details for articles we write. We’ve become pretty familiar with that Disney World URL! And during a recent glance at the website, we discovered something really weird.
Things change so much at Disney World that it’s hard to keep up with everything.
In Magic Kingdom, we just recently saw the opening of a brand new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We’re also gearing up to see what Disney has planned for the big Magic Kingdom expansion. Sometimes, though, things close in Disney World, and we’ve got a big update about some entertainment at Magic Kingdom that will be temporarily suspended.
If you love a good parade, boy, do we have some NEWS. FOR. YOU.
You might already be the type of person to stop EVERYTHING to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom, or Magic Happens in Disneyland. But now there’s a NEW parade in town, and this time, it’s over at Universal Orlando Resort. Will it be one that you absolutely must go see during your next trip? We got a first look at it, and now we’re sharing ALL the details with you!
Happy 4th of July, DFB readers!!!
It’s a special day in Disney World. The red, white, and blue decorations are EVERYWHERE, from buildings on Main Street, U.S.A., to snacks (so many red, white, and blue snacks, y’all), to the skies. Yes, even the skies are feeling patriotic Disney World over the next few days. We’re talking about the special 4th of July fireworks that happen exclusively in Magic Kingdom in July. Come with us as we check out this exclusive nighttime show.
It’s official! The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is coming back in a BIG way this year.
Disney just revealed the dates for the 2024 event and we’re looking forward to eating and drinking our way around all the food booths! But, that’s not the only thing we’re looking forward to at the festival. The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is returning in 2024 and we officially know which iconic bands and artists will be performing!
Something is ALWAYS changing in Disney World.
However, it seems like we’ve seen a LOT more change than usual over the past few years. EPCOT got a complete transformation, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening to the public soon, Country Bear Jamboree will reopen soon with a new show, Magic Kingdom is getting an expansion, Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland is getting re-themed, and more! Another big change is that The Voyage of The Little Mermaid show is closed to make way for a new show — and we’re starting to see signs of progress on that show.
Yes, we’re sweating bullets here in Florida right now because it’s summer, so, of COURSE, we’re dreaming of the holidays, when things are a little cooler and there’s holiday magic in the air.
That means we’re thinking ahead to things like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom, but we’re also looking forward to Jollywood Nights, a holiday event in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that premiered last year. We had the opportunity to attend Jollywood Nights in 2023, and we think the party has a LOT of potential. The entertainment was top-notch, and now we have a clue as to what kind of entertainment to expect in 2024.
