The final component of the newest trio of Italian eateries in Disney Springs — the other two being the already open Pizza Ponte and Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante — is now officially open to guests! We explored the space with our First Look last week. And last night we were there for the official opening!

As we mentioned in our First Look at Enzo’s, the “and Restaurant” was added to the name after Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar was originally announced. That’s when we realized the space would be serving full meals in addition to Prohibition era-style cocktails and offerings from the largest selection of “antique” and specialty rums on property.

And we got to check it out at a Media Event which began with a dedication for Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante!

Actually, perhaps I should say we’ll have an old escape once the Hideaway opens…
If you’ve been itching to get into The Edison, then you’ll be glad to know that reservations are now available on OpenTable.com for dates starting January 15th!

You can either visit The Edison website and link from there (as seen above), or visit OpenTable.com directly. In either case, reservations will be available daily starting at 11:30 am.
And remember when you are making your reservation that the spot will be family-friendly by day, but will be open only to guests 21 and over after 10:00 pm. Soft openings are currently taking place, but those will be open to walk-ups only when available.
But that’s not all… Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante — the Table Service component of the new trio of Italian eateries — is ALSO taking reservations via OpenTable.com for dates starting January 15th! [Read more…]

In anticipation of The Edison’s Grand Opening on New Year’s Eve with a celebration on December 31st, the DFB was invited to take a hard hat tour of the new Disney Springs location, as well as its upcoming neighbors, a trio of Italian eateries bound together by story: Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, and Pizza Ponte!

Before we share the details, a note: hard hat tours do not allow photography, so the majority of the pictures below in this post were provided by the Patina Restaurant Group, which runs all four upcoming locations.
Step inside what was once the power plant for the town of Disney Springs: The Edison.
There are not one, but FOUR new dining venues opening soon in Disney Springs: The Edison, which we have been anticipating for some time now, and the more recently announced trio of Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, and Pizza Ponte.

While all four spots are anticipated to open within the next month, Disney has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming destinations!
First announced for Disney Springs in 2015, The Edison is at long last in its final stages of preparation. What is said to have once been the power plant for the town of Disney Springs, the location still contains artifacts and pieces from its original purpose — as evidenced by the Boiler Bar and surrounding boilers, and the still-functioning clock tower — all contributing to the Industrial Gothic setting.
We got word about Maria & Enzo’s (formerly rumored to be “Mario & Enzo’s) in August — it’s an Italian Trattoria that will be located adjacent to the upcoming Edison Complex this winter. Today, we’re excited to report that not only has Maria & Enzo’s been confirmed, but there is MORE news to share about restaurant and bar concepts coming to the location!

The three restaurants will form a complete complex, but each will feature their own unique menus, with a focus on Italian cuisine. Like The Edison, the concepts are being created by the Patina Restaurant Group (PRG).
