Last year, Disney opened Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The attraction, which controversially to some replaced the aging Splash Mountain on both coasts, to great fanfare. However, despite the popularity of the flume attraction, there have definitely been some technological issues with the ride’s reliability, especially its animatronics.
Shortly before the ride opened, Disney wrote that Tiana’s featured “some of Disney’s most advanced Audio-Animatronics figures, and with this new, advanced technology it makes you feel like you’re really interacting with them in the attraction.” Unfortunately, those new highly advanced animatronics are having some issues.
There are a lot of new things coming to Disney World in the coming years! Some of the changes include a brand-new Villains Land will be coming to Magic Kingdom and DinoLand, U.S.A. will be getting rethemed to a Tropical Americas-themed land called Pueblo Esperanza.
But those aren’t the only new areas coming to Disney World soon. A new Cars area is also in the works in Magic Kingdom, and we just got an update about the permit filed by Disney back in August 2024.

Hello from Disney World!
Okay, so it is like a HUGE week for food in Disney World because the EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially kicked off. We were there on DAY ONE to check out everything the festival has to offer, including all the food booths (we ate so much, y’all have no idea). But there’s more happening in the Disney World food world, too, because we’ve also got some restaurant menu changes to get you updated on.
Oh, Disney World, you and your vast history never cease to amaze us.
Through its 50+ year history, many attractions around the park have come and gone. Some of them were sad goodbyes, while others were…not so missed. However, if you know where to look, there are tons of nods to old attractions that used to be, and some are more obvious than others. For example, we heard some chatter in the Magic Kingdom recently. It seems some people are confused about the large dark windows you can see in Tomorrowland, and we figured it was the perfect time to clear up the confusion!
Magic Kingdom currently has several attractions closed, and another is set to close this week.
While Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Astro Orbiters previously closed, the Hall of Presidents will also be closing soon with more attraction closures on the way. Other parks and hotels will also have closures this week, to find out what will be closed during your trip to Disney World this week, keep reading!
You’ve been warned! In a few weeks, crowds will descend upon the Magic Kingdom as two major events kick off in Orlando. Get ready for cheer season in Disney World.

Crowds at Magic Kingdom
What does this mean? Well, Orlando hosts seasonal cheer events each year, and those competitions bring tons of young athletes and their friends and families to the Disney World area. Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning a trip to Disney World this February.
