in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a fun little hot spot for new menu options in Disney World.
Whether it’s a favorite of yours, or you’re hearing about it for the first time, you’ve gotta be intrigued at this point. 😉 So check out our latest DFB Video highlighting some awesome finds at Min and Bill’s!
The menu is always changing here, but one thing’s for sure — we always find something tempting! While we haven’t seen any of the amazing seasonal milkshakes they’ve been known for lately, their Vanilla, Chocolate, and Kahlua versions are still worth your time. And who can resist a Foot Long Hot Dog with Pulled Pork on top? Meat + More Meat FTW. [Read more…]
Today, we’re heading back to Disney Springs for a lunch break at D-Luxe Burger!
With so many options newly opened at Disney Springs, sometimes it can be hard to make a decision. But we LOVE LOVE LOVED D-Luxe for their delicious Burgers, Hand-Cut Fries, interesting array of Dipping Sauces, and Gelato Shakes from our very first visit opening day.
Pricey? Yes, a bit. But we thought the uptick in quality made it WAY worth the pricetag.
The quick service spot has been open for a few months now, and you might not be surprised to know we’ve been back a few more times 😉
Join us as we share photos and impressions of our follow up visits!
If you’re looking for D-Luxe, you’ll find it centrally located in Town Center, Disney Springs’ newest neighborhood. Park in the Orange or Lime Garage; the walk is about the same distance from both.
As you’re looking at Guest Services in the heart of Town Center, D-Luxe is just to the left.
Step inside and you’ll see rustic finishes and lots of “evidence” to support D-Luxe’s backstory as the former site of a Florida cattle ranch. You can read more details and see a full tour here. [Read more…]

Magic Kingdom, how we love you.
You are, for many of us, the source of our earliest Disney Memories. Heck, some of us remember when you were the ONLY Park. (Am I showing my age here?)
But even though you’ve been around the longest, we’re no less fond of you. In fact, coming back to ride old favorites or experience new attractions always feels a bit like coming home. [Read more…]

Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!
We can’t let this day go by without thinking dreamily of all the ways we’d be celebrating if we were lucky enough to be in Walt Disney World Today! Like chocolate ganache, maybe? Here’s a fun holiday cupcake found at many Disney’s Hollywood Studios restaurants right now!
Yep — Valentine’s Day means chocolate to us here at DFB! 😉
Let’s check out a few more awesome ways to celebrate the Disney Food Blog way!
Every year, these gorgeous pancakes — topped with cream cheese icing!!!! — make their appearance at Kona Cafe in Disney’s Polynesian Resort for a few weeks. Today’s the last day you can get ’em this year, though, so head on over!
One of my favorite under-the-radar dining spots in Disney World is the Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Affordable by Disney standards, they have some delicious dishes. AND your view as you dine if you’re lucky? Cinderella Castle! So how could you go wrong for a hassle-free romantic date night?
While I’ve enjoyed most everything I’ve ordered here, hands down my favorite menu items are the Hand Dipped Cookies and Cream Milkshakes. They’re incredible! They come served in those heavy, old-fashioned, footed glasses that you can only get in soda shops of our childhood!
Top it with Whipped Cream and a Cherry, ask for two straws, and sip away with your Honey Pie while you take in the castle views. Sounds like a pretty awesome date to me. 🙂
Or maybe you think there’s no better date night than a stroll around World Showcase in Epcot. With stunning views, charming shops, fun attractions, and delicious eats, I couldn’t agree more!
But after you’ve shared a bowl of Spaghetti e Polpettine at Via Napoli, or perhaps a luxurious French dinner at Monsieur Paul, save a little room for dessert. And my suggestion is a walk over to the Germany Pavilion for a stop at Karamell-Küche.
This little German-inspired sweets shop is home to some of my favorite Epcot indulgences. Snag a bag or two of their caramel popcorn for the road. But for sharing with your special guy or gal, try the Chocolate Covered Sea Salt Caramel.
Because you’ll know it’s true love if you can actually share this heavenly treat. Come to think of it, you probably should just go ahead and get two of them. For the sake of your relationship.
Teamwork! Anyone who’s been on the merry go round of relationships knows that success comes with [Read more…]

Sweet, dreamy, creamy milkshakes. When you are craving one, nothing else will quite do. In honor of National Ice Cream month, it’s time to do another Disney Food Blog food crawl: MILKSHAKES!
Not surprisingly, some of my favorite milkshakes can be found right in Walt Disney World. If milkshakes are a favorite of yours, too, allow me to tempt you with a brand new food challenge — the Disney Food Blog Milkshake Crawl!
This one is a doozy! So if you break it up over a couple of days, we totally understand.
And be sure to let us know in the comments which milkshake is your favorite and which ones you highly recommend!
is one of my favorite table service spots in Magic Kingdom. It’s rarely super busy, and the prices are reasonable. As a bonus, there are some pretty amazing ice cream dessert options on the menu, thanks to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor right next door.
My favorite beverage-meets-dessert options here are the Hand-Dipped Milkshakes.
Served in old-fashioned glasses, and topped with [Read more…]

It’s getting hot out there, guys!
And sometimes, when it feels like it’s 100 degrees and you’re sweltering in line, you need more than a cold drink. You need a frozen drink!
Fortunately, there are lots of palate-pleasing options found in all corners of Disney World. And we’ve got great options whether you’d like to go alocholic or non-alcoholic! Refreshment is just a menu choice away…
Today, we’re taking a closer look at our very favorites!
Sweet-tart and chilly, Frozen Lemonade calls to mind seaside treats from our favorite resort towns. And there’s nothing like it for reviving you on a super hot, sticky Florida day.
The secret is in the balance. A too-sweet treat can leave you feeling not so great while you’re standing in the bright sun. That little kick of sour rounds out the flavors and makes the beverage a true refresher.
If you’re a lover of frozen lemonade, I have great news for you: there are tons of different varieties to try around the parks and resorts! You could make your own personal frozen lemonade crawl. (Hey! That’s a great idea…)
One of our favorites is the Raspberry Lemonade Slush that you find at Magic Kingdom’s Cheshire Cafe, located on the outskirts of Fantasyland. You can find a similar drink across the castle hub at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland. And if you’re looking for frozen lemonade in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find an awesome, slurpee-type version at Herbie’s Drive-In.
If you prefer your frozen lemonade with a little kick, one of our favorite adult versions is available at Animal Kingdom’s Dino Diner Snacks. The Frozen Bacardi Raspberry Rum Lemonade has been inspiring random cravings for me ever since I tried it. 🙂
Check out other locations to score frozen lemonade slushes when you’re parched in the parks.
Part beverage, part Dole Whip soft serve, this is one of Disney’s classic must-eat treats! The Dole Whip Float combines sweet-tart soft serve pineapple goodness with pineapple juice to provide one of the most refreshing icy drinks in the Kingdom.
You CAN get this with vanilla or orange dole whip as well — either choice will cut the tartness a bit. But I prefer pineapple-on-pineapple, myself! Find this great treat at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland.
Looking for a new entry on your Drinking Around the World card? THE newest frozen drink concoction in Disney World can be found — where else? — World Showcase!
Head to Epcot’s newest eatery, L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion for the beautiful and crave-inspiring Ice Cream Martini.
The drink-sundae fusion is made by combining [Read more…]
A few weeks ago, I was able to get a media sneak peek and food preview of Cars Land.
While we were there, every single attendee was in awe of its landscape, then we were blown away even more when we were led into Flo’s V8 Cafe for a tasting!
At that time, no photos were allowed. But, guess what? After 5 years, the time has come, the walls are down, and Flo’s is open for business!
Flo’s V8 Cafe was modeled after a Route 66 stop called Midpoint Cafe in Midpoint, Texas.
And the backstory in Cars Land is that Flo’s caters to the growing number of Route 66 visitors and race fans coming to Radiator Springs, with a “showroom” dining area that overlooks the Radiator Springs Racers attraction. This is one of the amazing views…
The minute you walk into Flo’s, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. To me, it felt like the scene in Back to the Future when Marty enters the soda fountain to find his dad, George McFly sitting there.
You’re in complete awe of the music, the colors, the decor; everything. Flo’s is, in fact, so gorgeous that they have a Photo Pass photographer set up with a tripod out front to take pictures of people in front of the restaurant!
Here’s some of the fun outside “decor” that makes Flo’s so much fun to [Read more…]
Today I had the pleasure of walking behind the closed off walls of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure. This brand new land in the Disneyland Resort has been under construction for years, and I couldn’t believe I was actually going to get a sneak peek…and even get to sample some of the brand new menu items that will be served there and on Buena Vista Street when they open next month!
Standing under the mountains of Ornament Valley with the Radiator Springs Racers whizzing by, I had to take a deep breath. Goosebumps on my arms, tears in my eyes. What in the world was happening to me? I’ve watched the progress of Cars Land from day one, and now, it’s nearly done.
Just weeks away from the June 15th grand opening and there I stood, inside getting a sneak peek! The only way for me to describe Cars Land is simple and true. You are IN Radiator Springs. You have stepped into Cars.
After telling myself to get it together and wishing I could take a photo, I followed the other attendees into Flo’s V8 Cafe for a sampling of the menu!
Because Flo’s is not 100% complete, photos were not allowed, the pictures you see here were from a “preview” room that we were taken to beforehand.
I’ll do my best to describe to you in detail the atmosphere of Flo’s. Flo’s is a counter service restaurant serving up breakfast, lunch & dinner. Upon entering, be sure to look up. There is a giant light fixture made of shiny tail pipes.
Flo’s caters to the growing number of Route 66 visitors and race fans coming to Radiator Springs, with a “showroom” dining area that overlooks the Radiator Springs Racers attraction. The cafe also is home to Flo’s personal memorabilia, collected during her glamorous career as a singer with the Motorama Girls.
The service area includes several walk-up kiosks (or food pods) divided by road barrier type blockades to keep you in your line. The main color of the cafe is turquoise. There is a giant juke box fixture at the counter. Two main dining rooms make up the cafe, and there is both indoor (booths & tables) and outdoor seating.
Best of all? You can’t beat the view from the dining rooms. One side features a perfect view of Sally’s Cozy Cones and the other — a breathtaking view of [Read more…]

I love the Plaza. Here’s why:
What more could you want in a restaurant when you’re fighting Magic Kingdom crowds, dying to use your Splash Mountain fastpass before the parade, and coping with your tired and hungry troops?
The Plaza offers less-expensive, but delicious, food right in the middle of the Magic Kingdom. And, believe it or not, it’s not all that difficult to get an Advance Dining Reservation here!
The Plaza is a tiny little restaurant located between Tomorrowland and Main Street USA in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
It’s right next door to what some folks call the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, but is actually — according to the sign — the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Which [Read more…]
