It’s 4th of July weekend at Disney World!

And lucky us — we got to celebrate with fireworks early this year when Happily Ever After and EPCOT Forever finally returned a few nights ago. And now, we’re munching on some 4th of July snacks, including a 4th of July Funnel Cake, a 4th of July Cupcake, and more!
Recently, Sebastian’s Bistro reopened with a brand new dining experience! Located right by the water at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Sebastian’s Bistro is a lightly Little Mermaid-themed restaurant (makes sense — Sebastian is a Caribbean crustacean!).
Sebastian’s Bistro
Sebastian’s was previously a standard sit-down dining location. You order what you want and it’s brought to your table. Now though, the restaurant has shifted to a family-style, all-you-care-to-eat menu. We’ve rarely been wowed by this spot in the past (It’s perfectly fine if you’re staying at the resort. Otherwise, it typically hasn’t been worth going out of our way to visit.), but maybe the big shift in menu would change that?
It’s hard to believe that 4th of July is just a week away — how did this year fly by so fast!

And there have been so many changes at Disneyland, from reopening to the opening of Avengers Campus to changes in health and safety guidelines to restaurant reopenings, that we’re having trouble keeping up!
We are so excited about all the restaurant reopenings currently happening at Disney World.
Maya Grill has reopened!
Recently, we’ve had the opportunity to revisit Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (for breakfast AND dinner), as well as get our seafood on at the newly-reopened Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort (again for breakfast AND dinner). And we were there when Maya Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort reopened and helped ourselves to a dining experience that Disney describes as “Nuevo Latino.”
We love how inventive Disney World gets when it comes to food sometimes.
The Daily Poutine
Like we would’ve never thought to put a burger inside a Bao Bun, and yet the Cheeseburger Pods at Satu’li Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are delicious! We also never expected to like a Burger on a Donut, but thanks to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs, we’re now fans!
Restaurant reopenings are so exciting — we’re so happy to see some of our favorites finally returning after being closed for over a year!
Tusker House is open again!
Recently, we’ve had a chance to eat at several newly-reopened locations, including dinner at Chef Mickey’s and Cape May Cafe! But today, we went ALL out and had both breakfast AND lunch at the newly-reopened Tusker House Restaurant, because that’s just the way we roll (also, we are SO full).
It is almost Father’s Day, and we’re at Disney World sampling all the Father’s Day treats!

So far, we’ve seen a Darth Vader Father’s Day Cake, and a Blondie that had a questionable-looking chocolate cigar on it (seriously, look at the photos!).

We’ve been busy saying hello to some of our favorite superheroes, but we’ve also spent A LOT of time checking out all the Marvel-inspired eats and drinks!
We eat and drink a LOT of stuff at Disney World, and a lot of our treats have been pretty unique.

From interesting potato chip flavors to donuts with Peeps on them to rainbow cupcakes, we’re always looking for the most uncommon snacks and beverages.
Another day, another cupcake! Disney has been coming out with flavor after flavor of these handheld treats! Whether it’s Black Forest or Carrot Cake, Disney has a TON of options when it comes to cupcakes!
