We’re just days away from June… and we’re ready to ring in summer with its arrival! In fact, we’re already having an INCREDIBLE SUMMER in Disney World!
Magic Kingdom’s offering to the Disney World celebration (the highlight of which will be the opening of Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios on June 30th) is the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo.
The Incredible Tomorrowland Expo kicks off today in Magic Kingdom as part of the Incredible Summer at Disney World! And there are some incredible edibles available in Tomorrowland as part of the celebration — which also includes character interactions with Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Frozone, and Edna Mode and the Super Party Time dance party from 2:00 – 7:00 pm daily.
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies is where you’ll find Edna Mode’s “No Capes, Just Crêpes” Crêpe Sundaes.
Join me in welcoming guest reviewer, Corinna. Corinna is a Food Allergy Consultant and mother of 2 beautiful girls who both have severe food allergies. She loves to travel with her family and Disney has been a big part of her travels for many years from Disneyland to Walt Disney World to Adventures by Disney. This post was inspired by her most recent visit to Disney World in April 2018. Read on…
We were able to do a dream trip to the Walt Disney World Parks for spring break. Let’s just say it was a busy week, but oh so awesome! Our family of four had the time of our lives discovering the happy Disney atmosphere, the rides, and of course the FOOD.
In our family, we LOVE Disney because they are really good about offering safe options for those with food allergies. In this post, I thought I would share some of the absolutely delicious snacks we found that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies.
Keep in mind that you should always check whether a snack continues to be safe and if it’s safe for your allergies, because things can change at any time. Disney provides an “allergy binder” or “allergy menu” at every food station that shows the ingredients of every item and what the allergens are. We got used to asking to see the allergy binder before we bought & ate anything.
First of all when you’re at Disney, you won’t find many baked goods that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies. But fear not, there are lots of other goodies that will fill your sweet snacking tooth! Here are a few of them…
Even though baked goods safe for guests with peanut and tree nut allergies are not plentiful, this one makes up for it by itself! The flavor of cinnamon and sugar surround a crisp, cake-like batter. You can find churros at several of the small food stands scattered throughout the Parks. Yum!
Additional churros can be found these Walt Disney World locations: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, Dino Diner, Anaheim Produce, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, Cool Ship, Storybook Circus Pretzel Cart, and The Lunching Pad.
So what’s better than a baked good? A baked good with ice cream! Safe ice cream can be difficult to find for people with peanut and tree nut allergies in general, which is why this treat is so special. It combines two hard-to-find goodies into one over-the-top treat. This goodie is especially perfect to cool you down in the heat of the day, and you can find it at Oasis Canteen.
If you’re touring other areas of Walt Disney World, you’ll find more funnel cakes on the menu at the Funnel Cake Stand in Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion, Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, and the Funnel Cake Kiosk along Disney’s BoardWalk.
We were lucky to be at Disney during Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival which runs until May 28, 2018. During this time there are additional “outdoor kitchens” throughout World Showcase. One of the outdoor kitchens we visited was Pineapple Promenade.
Not only could you get Dole Whip here but they also had a selection of unique and refreshing drinks. We opted for the allergy-friendly violet lemonade. Complete with a gorgeous and edible violet right on top!
In our family, a vacation to Disney isn’t complete without consuming copious amounts of Dole Whip. My kids were talking about it for quite awhile before we went. Which is why Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Africa area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom was such a welcome sight for us. It was an easy decision; Dole Whip it is!
Need more Dole Whip? This tasty treat can also be found around Walt Disney World at Aloha Isle, Pineapple Lanai, Barefoot Pool Bar (served with rum), Marketplace Snacks, and Everything Pop food court.
What delicious goodies have you found at Walt Disney World that are safe for peanut and tree nut allergies?

Hey, guys! We’re back with another DFB Video this weekend, and I hope you’re ready to blast off with us as we take you on a food tour of Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland!
When you think of Tomorrowland in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, visions of Space Mountain, the Carousel of Progress, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin likely come to mind… and I don’t blame ya! But even though Tomorrowland is home to some stellar attractions, it’s also home to some terrific eats. You may even run across a certain singing alien who may serenade you while you dine! (And here’s a tip: if you’re looking for specialty coffee, but want to avoid the morning rush at the Main Street Bakery, Tomorrowland’s got you covered there, too). So join us today in Tomorrowland! I learned about the Warm Salted Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel’s arrival at The Lunching Pad last week.
So you know I was ALL OVER IT when I got into the Magic Kingdom for the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year!
Here’s the deal: The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland serves a variety of pretzels, including classic Mickey Soft Pretzels and flavor varieties like the Pepper Jack (Jalapeno Cheese) Stuffed Pretzel. And until last week, it was one of the only spots that carried the Sweet Cream Cheese-Stuffed Pretzel.
But the day after the Warm Salted Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel showed up on the Mobile Order menu, the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel disappeared… as it has many times before.
And that’s the thing with these Stuffed Pretzels: they tend to come and go without any rhyme or reason. So that’s why you gotta HOP ON IT when you see one, because you never know how long they’re going to stay on any menu in Disney World.
So that’s exactly what I did with the new Warm Salted Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel!
Now, you know I love me some pretzels. So much so, in fact, that this isn’t even my first post about pretzels THIS WEEK. If you joined me earlier, you may know I highly recommend purchasing a side of chocolate sauce to go with your Mickey Soft Pretzel. But in the case of the Warm Salted Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel?
It ALREADY COMES WITH THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE.
YES!! Just consider all the elements at play here. First, you’ve got the saltiness of the pretzel. THEN you’ve got the golden sweet-and-salty buttery taste of the caramel. And THEN you’ve got the rich sweetness of the chocolate sauce.
And we’re still not done, because you’ve ALSO got that slight hint of crunch from the outer brown pretzel shell, contrasted by doughy center and the gooey caramel and chocolate.
Salty. Sweet. A bit of Crunch. The GOOEY Factor. If there’s anything missing here, I sure can’t think of it. At $4.79, this thing is a snack steal.
I know we’re already into the holiday swing of things here in Disney World, but it IS still November — and therefore technically still fall. And this Caramel Pretzel is perfect for the current season….even though I’m hoping it sticks around even longer!
Will you be grabbing a Warm Salted Caramel-Stuffed Pretzel if it’s available on your next visit to the Magic Kingdom? Please let us know with a comment!
Well, well, well… guess what just popped up on The Lunching Pad’s menu?
A Salted Caramel Warm Stuffed Pretzel, that’s what!
You see, I was perusing The Lunching Pads’ menu on the Mobile Order portion of the My Disney Experience app. Why? Because rumor has it that a Secret Menu item will be coming to an “Out of This World” location in Magic Kingdom, and it will ONLY appear on the Mobile Order menu. The phrase “Out of This World” implies the new item will be available at one of the two restaurants in Tomorrowland that utilize Mobile Order: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and The Lunching Pad.
So! Now you know why I was on the app, even though I wasn’t in the park.
But it paid to check it out anyway, because that’s how I stumbled on the brand new Salted Caramel Warm Stuffed Pretzel at The Lunching Pad, listed right above the Pepper Jack Warm Stuffed Pretzel and the Sweet Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel!
Happy Sunday! We hope you’re enjoying a fun-filled summer weekend! Now it’s time to sit back, relax, and check out the latest in Disney food news.

A lot of Disney stories start with “Once Upon a Time…”
And here’s one more for you. Once Upon a Time, Disney Food Fans could count on a couple of SUPER yummy pretzels at a few snack stands around Disney World. These were the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel and the Jalapeño-Cheese Pretzel; and you could typically find at least one of them at spots like Epcot’s Fife & Drum Tavern, Animal Kingdom’s Eight Spoon Cafe (when it was known as the Beastly Kiosk), and Magic Kingdom’s Lunching Pad.
Then, one by one and spot by spot, they began to disappear until they were (nearly) all gone.
So you can understand how excited we were when the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel returned to The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland last October! Likewise, you may be able to guess how happy we are to tell you that the Jalapeno-Cheese Pretzel is BACK at The Lunching Pad, too!
We’re certain that — like the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel — this spicy, savory, cheesy goody will taste every bit as good as always. (You see, we don’t get to make it to Typhoon Lagoon Water Park as often as we’d like, and Lowtide Lou’s is the only place that carries it regularly these days).
