Get ready to say, “surf’s up” once again!

One of the most unpredictable things at Disney World is the weather. It can be cold, hot, and stormy, or there can even be hurricane-related weather.
Weather can often affect everything in the parks, from parades to fireworks to rides. It can also affect the water parks. Today is calling for some chilly temperatures in Orlando, so that means a water park that was scheduled to reopen today, has, in fact, not reopened.
Disney World is no stranger to projects, and always thinking of ways to reimagine. Now it seems like a water park may be down to guests for a while.
We thought we had seen the last of the closures for this park when it last reopened in 2022 with some brand new themed elements, but Disney just announced that it will be going back under refurb very soon. [Read more…]
It’s no secret: Disney World can get HOT. When you’re on hour number five of your rope drop day in the middle of the summer, you’d give your left shoe for a dip in the water.
Disney World has two water parks perfect for cooling off, and one has a particularly chilly theme perfect for the days when you feel like you’re melting faster than a DOLE Whip!
We talk a lot about the main four Disney World parks and their attractions, but what about the water parks?
Typhoon Lagoon is one of two water parks at Disney World. Located near Disney Springs, you’ll find out that this lagoon is full of shipwrecks (and plenty of activities!).
Florida can sometimes get hit with some unusually chilly weather!
During the holiday season especially, we often see guests in the Disney World parks bundled up more than usual, wearing outfits complete with hats, scarves, gloves, and lots of layers. Typically, winter is fairly mild for the Central Florida area, but cold snaps can happen, so theme park guests might look to modify their plans. And in the case of one theme park, you’re likely to see some pretty unpredictable trends.
In case you missed it, Blizzard Beach Water Park has reopened in Disney World!
The water park reopened with a new Frozen-themed area and we’ve also been trying some new menu items, including drinks and eats. Now we’ve got a GIANT ice cream treat to eat!
It’s finally happening!
Blizzard Beach is reopening in Disney World today (November 13th) after being closed for most of 2022. Right as Typhoon Lagoon (Disney World’s other water park) reopened in January, Blizzard Beach closed. But it’s finally back, and it’s bringing a new Frozen-theemd area with it! We’re here to give you the first look at the changes in this water park.
Another Disney World spot is reopening, a special collectible is on its way, and NEW food will soon be available — if you haven’t been keeping track of the latest Disney news, there’s a lot to catch you up on!

The Florida heat can be brutal sometimes, even in months that aren’t typically considered the usual time for warm weather. And, on those days, is there anything better than a dip in the wave pool or a trip down Summit Plummet?
Yep, we’re talking about one of Disney World’s water parks — Blizzard Beach! The park has been closed for refurbishment since January 1st of this year, with only Typhoon Lagoon in operation. But now, Disney has finally shared when Blizzard Beach will be reopening!
