Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom
Extended Evening Hours are offered a couple of times a week, where Deluxe Resort guests get two extra hours in a particular park after it closes to day guests. For most of the year, Extended Evening Hours are offered at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but now they’re returning to Animal Kingdom!
If you’re looking to squeeze in a bit more Disney magic into your vacation, the next time you visit Disney World, it might be a good idea to visit one of these FOUR hotels!

Cool Kids’ Summer is COMING BACK to Disney World in 2026, and we’re stoked! This event will bring with it the return of the free water park admission perk, free park tickets, discounts, and more character interactions throughout the resort! When it comes to meeting characters, this event will see more characters in the hotels, and we’re gonna see folks flocking to four Disney World hotels in particular for some super rare character meet-and-greets!

This event — which debuted last year — brings a ton of new offerings to Disney World, including the return of the hotel water park perk, free days in the parks, discounts, and expanded character interactions throughout the parks and hotels. Change is coming to the two U.S.-based Disney theme park resorts in 2026 — and that includes changes to already established hotel perks! With the new year now getting into full swing, it’s an important time to remind you about a few existing hotel perks at both Disney World and Disneyland that will look mighty different in 2026…and maybe not for the better.
You might be leaving your own chilly state to visit Florida this winter, and even though our cold is probably nowhere close to yours, it can still get pretty cold! We don’t have snow, but the water parks at Disney World can close due to the weather.

Beyond lightning storms and hurricanes, sometimes the weather is just too cold to have the water parks open. Only one of the two water parks at Disney World is open right now, but for the next two days, both parks will be closed.

We LOVE a good Disney World perk, and Disney World gave us a really useful hotel perk in 2025 that allows any guest staying at a Disney World resort hotel FREE ENTRY into one of Disney’s two water parks. While the perk was available year-round in 2025, that’s about to change beginning next week.
Don’t head out to your first stay at a Disney World hotel in 2026 without knowing about these changes!

It’s really looking like 2026 will be a massive year for Disney World. Expansion projects are hitting the ground running, and Disney is delivering some big-time perks to its guests. Speaking of which, Disney World has already announced two significant changes regarding already-established hotel perks.
If you are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you need to make sure you are taking advantage of the exclusive perks! Not only can you enjoy all the amenities of the hotel, but you can also get free transportation, free parking at the theme parks, Early Entry into the theme parks, and early access to make Lightning Lane reservations. Plus, you might be able to take advantage of free water park tickets, and if you are staying at select Disney World hotels, you can also enjoy Extended Evening Hours.
