We’ll admit that when we first saw one, though, we had NO idea what it was. But we still bought it because it was a cool Cinderella Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. thing, but then later noticed that it rang up as a “trinket tray.” And then we spotted a Tree of Life Trinket Tray, too!

EPCOT
The park opened in 1982 and has been a fan-favorite ever since, with the amazing technology and rides of Future World and the exquisite culture of World Showcase. EPCOT is currently undergoing a massive transformation (particularly focused on Future World), and we can’t wait to see what the park becomes! To celebrate and share our love for this wonderful Disney park, we’re talking about all 25 hidden secrets in EPCOT that you may not know!
We’re almost halfway through February, which means we’re just a few weeks away from EPCOT’s most beautiful festival, the Flower and Garden Festival!
Flower Beds
With this festival comes delicious and creative outdoor kitchens, plenty of fun nature activities, and several stunning topiary displays and gardens around the park. We’re noticing that Disney is starting to prepare for the festival a little early (Festival of the Arts hasn’t even ended yet!), and today we spotted a really big addition in the Italy Pavilion!
La Cava del Tequila is a hidden gem in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion.

They serve up delicious margaritas, and constantly have a line to get in. We’ve tried several limited edition drinks from La Cava like the anniversary mezcal, but there’s a brand new tequila that is making history!
The global health crisis put a LOT on hold in Disney and beyond.
Italy Pavilion
At the beginning of the situation last year, Disney had to suspend its Cultural Representative Program. And transferred Cast Members are filling many of the roles typically held but Cultural Representatives in World Showcase. This program typically brings in individuals from around the world to work as Cast Members. Now, it seems some cultural representatives may return to the park this year.
Disney can be a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends but it can also be SUPER romantic.
World Showcase
Every once in a while, we get really lucky and happen to spot a happy couple saying their “I Do’s” in the Most Magical Place on Earth. Today, we found ourselves strolling past an absolutely BEAUTIFUL bridal party in a VERY cool place to get married.
Sometimes when we travel to Disney World, we get caught up in routines from previous visits. Let’s face it — we all have a certain way we like to do things when we visit Disney World.

Disney World has a LOT of updates, refurbishments, and new projects in the works, and sometimes, it’s hard to keep track of them all!

Sure, we’re all excited about all big upcoming attractions, like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and TRON Lightcycle Run. And we can’t WAIT to see the interactive hotel/experience Star Wars Galactic Cruiser! But those are just a FEW of the projects underway at Disney World right now. So with those being so HUGE, it makes sense that some of the smaller projects get lost in the shuffle, although they’re still in progress.
