Believe me, I feel your pain (though, for me, it’s the option for Orange Swirl that I miss).
It’s less than a month before the kick off for the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
All the fun begins on September 25, and runs for more than seven weeks, wrapping up on November 16.
But you know what? It doesn’t have to be.
Some of the most fun and educational events are low in cost, and there are even free demonstrations and exhibits that you can take advantage of.
Today, let’s spend a little time exploring one the most useful — and one of my favorite! — strategies from the DFB Guide to the Food and Wine Festival, 2015 Edition. We’ve fully updated this popular guide with all of the 2015 information to help you make the most of your visit to this year’s festival.
Ready to experience the yum on a budget? Let’s go! [Read more…]
Many of us have been there: you’re in a Disney Park, and for whatever reason, you have a hungry, hungry baby or toddler. The potential for your day to go from amazing to craptastic just increased by like, 100x.
This happened to me not too long ago with the 1 year old. I spent the better part of the day — time I should have been enjoying all kinds of food adventures for you guys! — in search of Cheerios. Which I could not find anywhere. No cheerios. Not even any Cheerio-like substances (which they USED to have, but no longer do).
So I started searching for other non-chokable, non-sugar-packed snacks to keep the hope alive, and do you know what I found? A whole lot of nothing. That’s what. Seriously. For a place that’s supposed to be the ultimate kid-friendly destination, Walt Disney World seemed sorely lacking in wholesome, grab and go, eat-on-the-fly food options that are appropriate for your blossoming eater.
So I figured, hey, I need to know where to find this stuff quick like a bunny. So I bet you a Mickey Bar that someone else out there in Disney Food Blog Land has found themselves with the same challenge.
If this is you, or if you’re headed to the World with a tiny human someday, let’s take a look together at the Best Snacks That Are Available For Toddlers in Walt Disney World. And with that, we’ll also take a look at a couple of finds that have made subsequent trips to the ‘World way easier for us when Junior is along for the ride. [Read more…]
So, I was in Disney’s Contemporary Resort when I stopped by Bayview Gifts to grab a Contemporary Resort mug (and I maaaaay have grabbed another Peanut Butter Pie next door at Contempo Cafe while I was at it).
I’ve grown rather fond of several of the resort-specific mugs that hit the scene earlier this year, and I’ve slowly been building up a small collection of a few of my favorites. Since the Contemporary’s mug has a Monorail on it, it was a no-brainer addition. Clearly. [Read more…]

OF COURSE you are!! You know who else is excited?
Lots and lots (and LOTS) of other people.
Booking for Special Events and Demos and Seminars for the Festival will open to the general public on July 30th at 7 am this year, and the popularity of these events makes that date into something we call a Peak Booking Day — a day when you never quite know what to expect, because the phone lines and online booking engines are often jammed with folks trying to nab their top choices.
Of course, sought-after bookings aren’t unique to the Food and Wine Festival. Just ask anyone who’s ever tried to [Read more…]
We’re gearing up for the Disney food fan’s favorite time of the year… and since the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival information started trickling out, we’ve been getting a lot of questions from our readers.
I know that a lot of you may have the same questions, so I wanted to take a moment to answer a few of the most frequently asked ones here on the blog.
Why aren’t all of the special events showing on the Disney World website? Are they still happening?
No worries! Yep — they’re happening.
Many of the events that were announced at the recent Tables in Wonderland Food and Wine Festival Preview event are still not showing up on Disney’s site. For example, the super popular Parisian Breakfast is nowhere to be found on DisneyWorld.com.
But we’re hearing that they’ve experienced a few technical difficulties, and we can assure you that these events ARE happening. So stay tuned to Disney Food Blog, and we’ll have any lingering details about the events as soon as they’re available.
In the meantime, check out our Food and Wine Festival Special Events page for details on all of the events that are scheduled for the festival.
What can we book on the website, and what do we [Read more…]

We are also learning more about the other two Future World booths located in the Artistry of Wine and Cheese area. These sister spots will be located on [Read more…]

To take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP), you’ll need to book a Walt Disney World vacation package and then add on the DDP.
